Arrival Story:
Kodiak was a given to me almost two years after a cat I adopted from the same breeder died from HCM. The breeder was not obligated to do this, the warranty on Thoth was one year. Since Kodiak had won Champion at a CFA show, he was more valuable that the previous cat. This mattered none to the breeder. She wanted to offer me a cat that had the characteristics that I wished for, and so she did.

Kodiak has been shown and won Champion at the CFA cat show that took place in March of 2009 in Ashbey Park, New Jersey. Kodiak is extremely sociable and greets every person that comes to our home. I have a home-based business so there are many people in and out every day. Kodiak says hello to everyone and expects to be petted or at least acknowledged. If someone ignores him, he will paw their leg to get their attention.

Raw Food

After watching the fish in the tank for months, my humans finally got the hint and got me a sample of raw cat food.
While the food does not contain any fish, it does have raw chicken with liver and ground-up bone. There are also some special cat vitamins that are supposed to provide the best nutrition for me.
Needless to say, I love the food and after eating it for a week, I asked the folks here to please donate the kibble food to the local cat shelter.
I have been eating nothing but raw food for the past two months and I've noticed that have not needed a bath for two months-for some reason, my fur stays shiny much longer. I wonder if this is because when I was eating the kibble, I sweat more and this caused my fir to get oily faster?
Right now, my food comes from Felines Pride but my family are looking into making raw food especially foe me.
I'll keep you posted as to how that goes.
Thats all for now.
Love, Kodiak

My Fish tank

My humans bought me a new toy today: a tank that they say will soon hold fish, corals and other things that swim and crawl.

I'm wondering how I'll be able to open the tank so I can try my paw at fishing (once they are away, of course).
