I live in this comfortable new cat house with my furriends. There are four cat rooms where we live with our roomies.

Each cat room has a porch where we can sleep in the sunshine, climb our cat trees, and just hang out together. If it's too cold, we stay indoors.

Arrival Story:
Lily came to us by way of our vet's office. Her previous owners had finally taken her to the doctor when she was on death's door. She lost her sight from the eye infection that they did not bother treating. The vets talked them into giving up ownership of her and to allow us to take her and get her the medical care she needed. Lily is a super sweet little girl who talks up a storm. Just pick her up for a cuddle, and she is a little purr machine.

Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary was started to answer the need for a safe place for blind cats that were deemed unadoptable by regular shelters and were going to be killed just because they are blind. We are a registered non profit with the state of North Carolina. There are no paid employees, only volunteers, so all contributions go directly to the kitties. Rescue is about restoring hope and dignity to creatures for whom no one else cares about. We are but humble vessels to help these magnificent creatures find their forever homes. The responsibility is big but the returns on our emotional investment are greater. You cannot place a value on the look of contentment that comes when an animal is clean, exercised, warm, fed and safe for the first time in its life.
