Arrival Story:
After my beloved Reuben died I was missing him so much I knew I needed another cat. Since it was Thanksgiving all the shelters were closed. The Sat. after Thanksgiving I went to the Humane Society. I spent over 3hrs looking at all the beautiful cats. I think I was in such a state of shock that Reuben was gone that I had a difficult time making a decision. Looking at all the cages I think I was looking for my Reubs. I went home that evening catless. That night my husband told me to look at Animal Care & Control. The website said they were full of cats. The next day I was walking into Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. There were so many cats there. After walking around and looking at all the beautiful cats I saw Simon sleeping in a cage with another cat. It said he had been brought in as a stray. I asked to see him and boy what a purr! Within 30 min. I had made my decision. He was my new boy! He had to be neutered but within a few days he was home. He has been a joy ever since. Simon loves to play, watch the birds and nap in all his favorite spots. He loves everyone he meets and thinks his automatic litterbox is the coolest thing around. We're so happy he is with us and he is spoiled every day.

What a day! Mommy took me to the vet today! On the drive there, I started to meow and cry. I kept looking at mommy wondering where we were going. When we got there I could smell all the animals and suddenly I was nervous. They took me in a room and I kept looking around. Then I was weighed...almost 11lbs! I heard mommy say something about 3 shots! Three! What!? The vet was very nice and she looked in my mouth and listened to my heart. It must have been beating very fast! Then she gave me a shot in my hiney! Mommy says I was very good but when the second and third one came I wasn't very happy. I hissed and growled! Mommy has never heard me hiss or growl before! Well, shots in the hiney will do that to you! Mommy had to cuddle me and I wanted in my carrier away from all the hurt and confusion. When we arrived at home mommy let me out to the comfort of my home and surroundings. Yippee! Back at home! Mommy told me how proud she was of me then gave me some TUNA! Oh thank you mommy! I love tuna! I must be a big boy! Now, I'm off to take a catnap. It was a busy day.

Wow! I just got a nice surprise today! I was chosen as Cat of the Week for the awesome group of Hey! You Look Like Me! Thank you so much for choosing me to be on the page for an entire week! Mommy has just been giving me so many kisses I can't breath. Thanks to all my furiends and to Princess Lilly-Rose and her entire family for the message and kind words.

Well, another year has gone by and we now begin to welcome in a New Year. 2010! I know this last year has been tough on many and some have even said goodbye to their beloved furiends. It's never easy to lose a loved one no matter how much time they were in our lives. I hope this new year will offer comfort to those traveling a path where the valleys are steep and the hills seems so far away. May all our friends and families find health and prosperity in this coming year. To all those furs waiting for a forever home...may this be the year you find it!
