Before Christmas, it was terrible. Mammy went out every day very early, which meant I had no-one to snuggle up to in bed in the mornings. Despite my most pitiful looks, she got out of bed early and disappeared all day every day until Christmas. Then it was like Christmas, because both Mammy and Daddy were at home all the time! Since Christmas, Mammy went back to her normal behaviour - phew!
There's been a lot of this white stuff that they call snow. There's some there this morning, too, although not as much as there was. I am not keen on the snow, but Daddy prefers me to go outside rather than use the litter tray. The snow makes me cold and wet and I need a snuggle after I've been out there to warm up!

Auntie Simba died a few weeks ago. She was very poorly, and Mammy was very sad. So sad, she gave me a big squeezy-hug that I didn't like much, but I put up with it for as long as I could.

I wanted to lie in the sun this morning, to make the most of it because it's autumn now. The only place that was sunny was in Mammy's study, on her desk, on her keyboard, so obviously that was where I lay. Mammy didn't seem very happy about this, but it was the best place. She didn't understand. She tried to make me move, which made me cross and pointy!
I decided to let Mammy have her keyboard back and lay between that and the book rest behind it. This was a bit of a squash, so I sneakily pushed the keyboard out the way by playing with a wire lying on the desk. Mammy put the keyboard on her knee so I had lots of space.
Then the sun went in.

Poor Auntie Simba!
Mammy said they found out she's actually very poorly. Her teeth were bad because of being so poorly.
I feel sorry for her now, and will think nice thoughts about her. I know she won't get better, and that makes me feel very sad.

Mammy still hasn't cleared my bed of books, although she's made some progress and has cleared my cushion. Not that I've been lying on it of late anyway, even before it was covered in books.
It was flea drop day this week. I don't like it because the stuff stinks and I have to screw my eyes up. Mammy and Daddy think this is cute, though. I have also learnt that if I am still and don't struggle, it is over with quicker.
Apparently, evil Auntie Simba is at the vet today getting some teeth out. I know how that feels, so I feel sorry for her, but I still don't like her. She eats my food when we go and stay there, even though it's always in Mammy's room, and not downstairs where her food goes. Still, I hope she feels ok.

Mammy spent the weekend taking all the books off the book cases and putting them back on again. I'm not sure why, but those empty shelves were tempting!
She started downstairs, then went into my room, and spread books all over my kingsize bed, so there was nowhere on it for me to lie down! They are still there today. It's a good job I have my cosy little bed in there, otherwise I would have had nowhere to sleep. Unless I spent the whole night snuggled up with Mammy and Daddy in their bed.
I hope Mammy puts the books back soon.

Apparently it's a bank holiday today, which means Daddy is at home all day as well as Mammy. Not that it makes any difference to me because I've been outside enjoying the sun today, coming in only to eat and to blog.

When Daddy went to bed last night, I snuggled up to him very cutely. Mammy said how could he not forgive such a cute and lovely puss as me, so he had to forgive me in the end. That made me happy and I purred.
This morning, Mammy got up surprisingly early, so I couldn't have my morning snuggle with her. I went in my duffel bag bed instead. This afternoon, I nested under the table in the garden. It's nice there.
Later, I asked Mammy to comb me because I love it so. She normally tells me not till after tea, but sometimes she forgets and I don't get combed at all. Today, she did it straight away, even though it was before tea. Mammy and Daddy went out for a while in the evening and when they came back, I asked Mammy for another combing, but I was told I'd been combed today. That's what Mammy normally says when I ask to be combed after I've already been combed. She thinks I can only have one a day, but sometimes she does do it more often. Daddy never combs me. Daddy says it's Mammy's special bonding time with me. I just like being combed.

I was lying on the sofa today, keeping Mammy's side warm. Mammy was busy using Daddy's computer. He sat on the sofa beside me and stroked me, but I was in a bit of a grump, so I hissed at him. I think he was a bit upset, so later, when I calmed down, and he was on the sofa again, watching a film, I sat on his knee to make up for my earlier outburst. I tried to tell him I was sorry, but I'm not sure I'm forgiven. I left him to it and went to bed.

Ooh, I don't know what to write! Shall I start at the beginning? Shall I start with today? When shall I start my electronic story?
I shall start with today, I think. I snuggled up to Mammy this morning, when she was in bed. I like doing that, but then she blames me for her not getting up early. I think she's glad of the excuse, actually.
She had some cereal with milk on it, which she ate in the study, as usual. It didn't matter where I sat - on her knee, on the desk, on her laptop - she just wouldn't let me have any, and I tried really hard, too. I got my face within a fraction of an inch of the bowl, but Mammy pushed me away. I gave up and went to bed.
Spent some time this afternoon in the sun in the garden.
Just before bedtime, I felt all energetic, so I ran up the stairs and into my bedroom, then out again, and into Mammy and Daddy's room. Daddy called me from the bathroom, so I went to see what he wanted, but it was to tell me it was bedtime - but I was already in there!
Just had a bite to eat. What shall I do now? I wonder how many times I can wake Daddy up overnight - he loves it! Especially when I scratch the wall beside his bed!
