Arrival Story:
My daughter, Susan, and I found Natasha at the animal rescue league in town. She had no id on her cage but her paws were reaching outside. When we held her there, she was licking both of us. We took her home the next day after we were given the "ok" to own her. Susan had to wear a ski hat on at night because Natasha would groom Susan's hair until it was all wet. Natasha was our second cat. She had to tolerate Ben, my Maine Coon, who was a diabetic. He was also treated for a hyperthyroid by radiation. He was also on FUS for for urinary problems. Natasha ate his food without a problem. They were not close but they did well together until he was given his wings when he was 16 and she was eight and a half. She was not crazy about our new kitten, Alex, but she tolerated him until recently.

Bio:
Recently, there was a retrogression problem. My daughter brought her dog over to take care of the cats while we were gone. The dog who is a sweetie frightened Alex who attached Natasha. She went into hiding for months and avoided me. I thought that it was a medical problem until my daughter told me when happened. Alex hunts Natasha down. They are now separated in different areas and on Prozac. Natasha is doing better and has finally greeted me and stopped hiding under my bed. It took two months of meds. She and Alex will continue to take the meds until the problem is resolved. When she sees him, she becomes hysterical. This will cease over time according to my vet.

UTI in a cat

When she came to us, she was under a year. We don't know her exactly age so I chose Valentine's Day. She was just three pounds and had a litter of kittens who did not survive. She must have been someone's cat because she was not afraid of us.
