Arrival Story:
On a hot July Sunday, I heard a cat crying. Investigation proved the plaintiff mewing eminating from the neighbor's yard. As I walked around the house, a tiny black and white kitten popped out of the backyard gate. He sauntered up to me and gave me a look that clearly said, "Hello, will you be my mama?" How could I refuse? The adult cats were not at all amused by this youngster. To warn them he was out of his enclosure and headed their way I would call, "Elvis has left the building!" After he'd been with us for about a week, one day he turned and looked at me when I called my warning. About 10 minutes later I called, "Elvis!" He came running in from the other room and looked at me as if to say, "Yes? What do you want?". I laughed--the little guy wanted a name, and decided upon Elvis!

Bio:
Elvis now lives in Texas with my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. They were meant to be his forever family. The moment he laid eyes on my son, he jumped into his arms. There's a photo on this page taken just moments after their meeting. He still comes to visit his mom-for-the-moment and the big cats--so he is a cat who has family wherever he travels!

Cat-a-strophic Reality According to Me

Sunshine Tagged Me!

Five things I am thankful for this year--

1. I am thankful for my family--Mommy, Daddy, and Small Human. They love me and take care of me and make me be a good kitty even when I don't want to be.

2. My paws are all better--being declawed is not fun. Unlike dogs who live in the moment, cats hold
grudges. Refer to part two of number one.

3. I am thankful for the human who invented dehydrated salmon treats. I know that Ya-Ya Mama will
not forget me at Kissmas time.

4. Our new 'partment. There is a HUGE window for me to look out, and sun to look in and warm me.

5. Peacocks. They have awesome feathers. (And I'll bet they taste like chicky.)

PaPa came to visit!

PaPa came to visit! I 'membered him from when I was a kitten, and was in his lap as soon as he sat on the couch. All of the small humans were here and it was all a big commotion. I didn't care, though. He loves me 'cause I'm me, and I got my very own PaPa time.

He looked at my front paws and shook his head. I told him that they're healed and don't hurt. He understands that it was not fun getting declawed. I'm gonna' 'member my PaPa until next time.

I'm Annoyed

I took one bandage off. The other won't budge. I don't like these bandages. I want to be left alone to lounge on the 'rents' bed and heal in peace.
