Arrival Story:
A friend of mine has a cat. She thinks he's a Birman,although he doesnt have the white gloves. We didnt know about gloves the first time we saw him. He was sooo soft and cuddly that we decided it was finally time to have our own first pet. We started to search for one on the internet and we had a hard time deciding because all kittens were cute. We then found a breeder 10 blocks away from where we lived. Having watched "Sleepless in Seattle" a few too many times, we said "it's a sign!". We set up an appointment and went to visit the day after Thanksgiving. 'Twas love at first sight. All kittens were minding their business and ignoring us, except for this little one cat that came to sniff me and rub against my ankles. I actually said "I want *that* one" and that was Bailey. Bailey was already promised to someone in California. Nevermind that they returned him after 18 months. We took him in then. Anyway, it was the kittykat that was interested in me, or no Birman kittykat at all, so I took her home.
Bio:
She keeps to herself. She is not a lap cat although after 5 years she's started to come lie on my chest at 6 am -- that is the only time when i regret she weighs 9 lb... Sometimes she plays hide and seek. I get tired first.
