It's hot!

Meezer jeezers it's been hot!! Thank goodness Mom & Dad have air conditioning cause I just don't know what I would do. I have snuck into the sunroom on occasion where there is no air conditioning and man! I scream and yell to get out of there in a cat flash hurry!

I need to draw up a little excitement in my life this August, so I have now taken a great new nap place on top of the bird cage. Mom gets furious with me cause I'll wake up and just poke at the little feathered creatures, I love to hear them squeal at me...tee hee!! Hey, what's a meezer gonna do? I need some diversity in my life ya know?

My brother Scooter has been really sick and was away at the hospital for a week. Turns out he has really bad diabetes and now he has to have shots every day and eat special food. It's really sad, cause he is one of my best buds...but he is also getting better which is a really good thing. I have been visiting with him when I can cause Mom has him upstairs so he doesn't eat our food which Mom says is really bad for him.

Well, I got some silly birds to poke at, I'll be back though!!

You are my Tail of Devotion because every day when I come home from work you are there amongst your sister and brother dogs meowing louder than they are barking to say hello! You are always there for me and never have let me down. (you are even there for me in the bathroom when I would like some privacy, but you always need to be by my side and in that case, lap!)You make me realize that in this crazy world, that hugging and petting you instantly calms my stressors and it doesn't even matter if I get a head butt to the face and get a mouth full of fur!! You have a wonderful scent like nothing else I have ever known and are always by my side through everything. My life would not be the same without you Sima. Your name means "treasured prize" and goodness you are truly the most treasured prize I have been fortunate to have for my own. Donuts!!!!!

I just love it when Mom goes to Dunkin Donuts and brings home some!! I am right there trying to get the box open and most times I do, (if Mom isn't there watching me). I have such an obsession with donuts, they are just the most yummiest thing ever! Unfortunately Mom has caught on to me and now she is hiding the box. Well, I just annoy her and sit near the place where she "thinks" she has hidden them and talk and talk and talk! I am mostly complaining asking why can't I have a donut? Mom always says some garbage like, "it's not good for you and it will make my baby sick", Sometimes she does give in and gives me just the smallest piece so that I stop complaining so much, and I am so glad when she gives in! I just love sweets and donuts are my favorite!!

Well, it's back to the dry chow for now, but I look forward to my next taste of that sweet delight that they call donuts!!!

My OCD problem with coffee!!

Every morning I sit with my Mom while she checks her mail on the computer. She always has to have her cup of coffee with her. I don't know why people like coffee so much? Give me a nice chunk of tuna or a sardine or even some rare roast beef....yum and now that's what I call good eats! but coffee??? So, I think I am helping her by trying to bury it. I scratch and scratch and scratch just like I do in my litter box and the stuff doesn't get buried or go away!! It is so frustrating. I mean, when I finish in the litter box and scratch I can bury the stuff, but this stuff just doesn't go away! My Mom seems to think it is comical and just sits there the whole time laughing at me, but I keep trying and trying to get the darn stuff buried! I tried so hard one time that I actually stuck my paw in it by accident and the stuff was hot! I mean darn hot! I shook and shook my paw, my Mom had coffee all over her and I took off real fast cause I thought that she might be mad at me. It turns out that she was laughing and asking if I were okay and I was just so embarassed.
Jeez, you think I would learn my lesson after that, but every single day I still think I can get rid of the stuff and I continue to scratch and scratch around it just hoping that it will go away.
I think I have a bit of an OCD problem with this, however it is just one of those things that I gotta do. A siamese has got to do what a siamese has gotta do!

I ate a yummy spider!

Yummy, yummy, yummy I got a spider in my tummy!!

This morning when I was giving my Mom her morning head rub she saw an itsy bitsy spider crawling across the bench. My Mom hates spiders and she gets very upset. I could tell she was getting worried so I carefully watched it crawling along and CHOMP! he was gone in a flash. I got extra pats and kisses and rubs from Mom for my heroic efforts.

It's all in a day's work for this Siamese!

Spring!

I am so happy that spring is finally here! I don't know what to look at first! There are butterflies now, the birds are flying all over the place andI just don't know which direction to look first!! I also find that I have more sunny spots to take a nap, and I just love the feel of the sun on my fur!

I have been doing this really weird thing to Mom lately. I have been sitting on her nightstand in the morning and she always reaches over and puts the alarm clock on the snooze......well, when she does that, I start licking her eyelids!! Let me tell you, that certainly gets her attention!! I am doing my best to get her up in the morning and it is working!!! The sooner she gets up, the sooner my breakfast is ready. See my motive?

I miss my buddy Catfish. Every since he went over the bridge I haven't really wanted to snuggle with anyone else. I have been sticking real close to Mom, in fact she can't even get into the bathroom without me going in after her!! I like my brothers and sisters just fine, but they can't replace my buddy. I have been sleeping with my Mom & Dad at night now cause he isn't here anymore. We always used to sleep together. I know that he is having a great time over the bridge and he is still looking out for us!! It doesn't change the fact that I miss him lots!

Well, I have some serious bird watching to do before my afternoon nap time, so I gotta get a move on the day.

Sad Goodbyes

I can't believe that my brother Catfish went to Rainbow Bridge two days ago. He was my buddy and I sure am going to miss him. Him and I always used to curl up together for our afternoon naps, or in the winter you would see us sleeping next to the fireplace. He was a jolly good fellow, and 18 years is certainly a good long life. Well, I gotta whip all the others here into shape. Catfish was the leader until he got elderly and then sick, and sometimes the others would take advantage of him, that just wasn't right. I have helped my Mom these past few days because I know that she has been grieving him. I just cuddle up with her, butt my head against hers trying to reassure her that he is in a much better place now.

Well, I gotta do role call now, hold on a minute....................

"Scooter, Sassy, Topaz, Mitzy, Riley, Skeet.....listen up and pay attention, Meow. I am Sima the Siamese and we need to be clear on who is the leader of this group. Raise your paw if you have any questions and I will answer you one at a time!"

okay, I'm back, I sure did get their attention. Now, where is my catnip ball??
