That was not what I had planned.

Early this morning, I was hit by a car. I did not survive. I made a quick journey to the bridge, where I was met by my long time best friends Molly. She was happy to see me, but she was angry about what happened. We spent all day together talking and catching up. She told me she had been keeping an eye on my baby girl Bella. Now, I can watch Bella grow up. I am so glad she is a house cat. I was not. I lived on the streets. I had lived here so long, I thought I was safe. I knew the rules, but someone just did not see me. I did not suffer. It was over in an instant. I will miss Bella and meowing at her thru the screen door. But she will be ok. And I am ok now too.

Sigh.

I miss Molly. It's just not the same around here. That lady who feeds me at the house where Molly used to live, gives me food, pets me, listens to my stories. She is concerned because I am kinda beat up. She said to me "Orangie, if you would just stay here instead of wandering, I promise to take care of you". I like her, but where would I hide out? Well, I could hide in the back yard. The dogs live inside the house now and only come outside a few times a day....hmmmm. But even when she does not see me, she always leaves food out. It's like she knows I will be coming. Maybe I should just stay there. I don't like wandering all the time. Let me think about this....

I miss Molly

I am so mad! Why Molly? Not fair. I dont even go to the cul de sac anymore. I miss the nice food lady. I trusted her and let her pick me up and pet me. I dont let just any one pet me. Molly said food lady was ok and would not hurt me. She was right. I am not afraid to go back to the cul de sac. Molly is not there, so I stay closer to home now. I know Molly is keeping an eye one me. We watched out for each other. I will miss my friend.

I am dancing in the driveway!!!

Mom FINALLY put some music on my page that I like. Also, mom and I had a chat. She has forgiven me for biting the heck out of her hand!!! I was having a bad fur day. I told Molly what I did. Molly told me do not do it again....ever. I hid out because I thought I was in trouble. But...mom kept leaving food out for me. Maybe things are ok after all. So, I cruised over today and mom was listening to Molly meow. I jumped up into the back of uncle Scott's truck. I waited, patiently. When Molly took off, I walked over to mom and rubbed my face on her hand. She petted me and told me all was forgiven. Purr Purr Purr. I am a happy orange kitty.

Something big is missing!

Boy! Talk about confusing!!! I was walking up the driveway and got confused. Something big was missing. It was the tree!!! Where is the tree??? So, I continued walking...slowly...and then I noticed that Uncle Scott's truck had also been moved. It was not exactly back in the same spot. I was not sure what to make of all of this. Then, Molly came out from under Mom's truck and meowed at me. Whew! I was in the right place. I jumped into the back of uncle Scott's truck and we still had food and water. Molly told me what happened to the tree and why the truck was moved. It was good to know what happened. That was just really weird. I am still trying to get used to no tree. Molly said the lack of tree branches and leaves makes it really hot in the late afternoon so she sleeps under mom's truck because it is higher up. I asked her about the yappers. She said yappers have been staying in the back yard. More good news!!! Those yappers bug me. I hate being chased by a dog smaller than me!. Well, I am gonna kick back for a while before we go on walk about. I am just glad it has not been as hot. I thought my stripes were going to melt!!! MOL.

So...I got busted......

Why is it that every time you are doing something wrong, your mom sees you? And, get this...I was down the street about 5 houses. Here is what happened. Molly, Myself and a few others from further down the street were playing. Since we live on a cul de sac, there really is no traffic except for the residents who live here. So, sometimes we...play in the street...I know, bad Orangie. It was just at that moment I was busted. I don't know why I did not run when I heard mom start the truck (you can hear it a block away), but she had to go to the store real quick and she pulled the truck out and made the turn and there were my glowing eyes and my Orangie body. She pulled up next to me, rolled the window down and told me to get up on the grass, NOW. I swear I could hear Molly laughing from across the street. I knew I was going to get an "I told you so" from her later. So I scooted my Orangie self home with Molly. When mom came back a short time later, Molly and I were right there where we should be waiting for dinner. I thought mom was going to scold me. She petted me and scritched my whiskers (purrr, I love that) and fed us. No yelling? Molly said mom forgives just like that. As long as we are ok, she is ok. Wow, I could really get used to this. I dont even get in trouble here. I am not used to that at all. Molly said mom never yells at any of us. The only name you hear loudly is 'DYLAN!!!', but that is usually right before he causes a cat tastrophe. MOL. Ok, I wont play in the street anymore. It's just that I saw the kids doing it and it looked like fun. Thats ok, there are kittens around the corner Molly and I have been playing with. Don't tell mom.

I got stuffs to say!

Hi everyone!!! Wow, I can really get used to living here!!! I stole Molly's dinner. In my defense, she walked away from a purrrfectly good bowl of food. Mom will feed her if she is hungry later. So there I was, scarfing down food with mom and Molly watching me. But wait, it gets better! Molly was getting pets from mom. I took over that too. I just slid on into moms hands. Molly was really mad at me. Mom paid attention to me for a little while, and then went to find Molly. She was holding Molly and talking to her. I kinda feel bad, but I did not realize that humans could be nice. I got a little scared when the neighbor boy came to put his bike away in the garage. Mom put her face close to mine, and kept telling me it's ok. She was petting me at the same time. Then I relaxed. I am used to running from everyone. Maybe, I don't have to run anymore...I have to go tell Molly that I am sorry. I was just really hungry. Mom said its ok, we have plenty of food. She gave me clean water while she was out there. I think I have it made here. Hmmmm. Off to find Molly......

Wow, I had an exciting morning!

It all started when mom came outside to feed me. There was still some dry food in one bowl, so she gave me Fancy Feast in the other bowl. I was munching away, when Molly jumped up where I was. She already ate an hour earlier than me. We got into a hissing match. Dad came out and started petting Molly. I grabbed a few more bites and ran down the driveway. Molly started eating my food, but she left me some. I should have known it would turn into a photo shoot. Mom had the camera. She took a bunch of pictures of me. Some of them are now on my page. After mom went in, I ate some more and then I went to the neighbor's back yard. I was lying in the grass, staking out a gopher when Duke starting barking at me like crazy. Shhh, don't rat me out, you silly dog!. Here comes mom, with Lexi's leash and the camera. There is a privacy screen between the yards, but it did not help me much. Mom moved it over a little and took a picture of me staking out the gopher. Then, she took Duke and Lexi back into the house. Ahhh, gopher hunting with no annoying barking. I love it.
Now, if I could just catch this little thing......

Wow!

I did not know it was so easy to make friends!!! See Molly, I'm not mean!!! (She says I am grouchy-I just get hungry alot) Well, it is almost time for Molly's midnite walk about. I always walk with her. We are both good at hiding if we have to. Usually only a few people are out, moving their cars and stuff and don't bother us. We look for kitties that need help. Molly is always on the lookout for a stray kitten. Mom said no more kittens, but Molly does what she wants!!! MOL. Ok, my new Catster friends, I will meow at you later!!!!

My second day on Catster.

Well, mom found a back ground appropriate to fit my purrsonality. I was noticing that Paisan runs all over Catster checking on everybody. No wonder he takes so many naps. I am driving mom crazy. I am on my own schedule. Molly told me when dinner is, but I always seem to be late. There is always food waiting for me. I have to get used to this. Molly said mom is getting ready to take me to the vet, for shot and a little procedure all kitties must have. Hmmm. I better check into this more. Molly said, dont worry..you will be spoiled during your recovery. Hmmm. This is all new to me. I am not used to someone caring about me. Molly tells be to chill out. I picked the right place. I still cant get over the food always being there for me, and clean water. Molly taught me how to get away from the yappers next door. I guess I could be happy here, but I am scared. No one ever wanted me before. It's just kinda weird..thats all. Well, Molly wants to go on nite patrol. I always go with her. I will check in in a day or so. I will let mom have a chance to add more cool stuff to my page, and hopefully I can get there during the day so she can take more pix of me. I am such a ham!!!
