Arrival Story:
Mom was shopping at petsmart & as usual came to play with the kitties in they're cages. There I was at the back of my cage, huddled against the wall peering out at her with my bright blue eyes. I was much thinner & very terrified. Mom asked an employee about me & was told that my 5 kittens had just been weaned & adopted out into the world & that I was a nervous wreck. My 'adoption fee' had been dropped twice already & the lady said this was my last chance, whatever that means. She said I had originally been found abandoned in a house with my newborns & had been taken to a shelter to get healthy & raise my babies. Mom wanted to hold me, but the second my feet left the ground I freaked & jumped off her chest to hide in the corner of the cage.. I never meant to scratch her, but Mom tells me that my reaction is what made her want to take me home even more. When I first came home with Mom I didn't know how to play & preferred to hide under the bed. It took a while for me to open up & feel comfortable in my own skin, but with her persistent spoiling & constant love I've blossomed into the cat she knew I could be. Now I can't get enough petting, I get along with everyone, love when Mom picks me up to cuddle, & I'm even confident enough to go outside on a leash. I'm so glad she never gave up on me!
