As of August 2, 2009, I have been in my new home for two whole weeks. Rocky has become more than a great furiend; he’s truly become an awesome brofur to me! We hang together just about everywhere. Our favorite place is in the kitchen, when mom is in the kitchen. We go in there and dance and prance all around her feet. Then we take to circling the chuck wagon (the island in the kitchen where mom prepares food), hoping mom will dish up some good grub. Seems to work just about every time.
Well, my new mom said that I have some thank yous to say to all my new Catster furiends, so here it goes:
First, I want to thank every fur for welcoming me to Catster and offering kind words and well wishes as I settle in at my new home.
Thank you for the Stars!
Wilson J Scooter and Morty Angel Kitty for the Earth Star. Purrs and headbutts to you pawsome guys!
Guido the Italian Kitty, Yolo and the beautiful Baci, thank you for the shiny gold crown. I sure do feel like a king around my new house!
Chrissy Whitesocks for the beautiful rainbow star. I am so glad DustytheDogcat dropped some major hints with mom. I am loving my new home!
DustytheDogcat for the most beautiful emerald in the world. And thank you for orchestrating my arrival home. I sure do have some big paws to fill!
Buddie..Always Loved, Mookie, McKenna, Ricki, Angel, Victor Gibbs, and Jason Cash for the beautiful golden star and warm welcome home messages. I sure do love my new home.

fur ... Furrrrrench Vanilla ice cream!
Yep, that's right! Mom was rummaging around in the kitchen, digging through the freezer last night and she pulled out this interesting box. That's when I spied it ... Furrrrrench Vanilla ice cream!
Well, I know the sound the ice cream container makes when it leaves the freezer and lands on the kitchen counter. Uh ... huh. No doubt. I know what the words "ice cream" mean too! Time to turn on the charm, Shady I heard the Dogcat say, over and over. That was my cue.
So I flew like a flash into the kitchen and sat at mom's feet, looking up ever-so cutely.
Blink, blink went my golden feline eyes. Oh, they shine ever so brightly against my silky dark fur.
Lick, lick went my bright pink tongue against my coal-black lips and nose. Pink against black ... what a great combo and attention-getter. Sure got mom's attention!
Mom looked down in total surprise! Oh, Shady! she said. Do you want to try some ice cream?
YES! YES! YES! I never thought you would ask! Oh my furry little toes started to dance and prance.
Mom served up a tiny taste in the Dogcat's special ice cream and treat porcelain china. Oh my goodness. Furrrrrench Vanilla ice cream ... is heavenly!
Afterward, it was time for celebrating ... and we danced and danced and danced the Furrrrrench Vanilla ice cream dance.
Love, Shady

Last night was my second night in my new forever home, and it was the first night I slept in a real people bed. You should see this thing. It is this huge, soft box topped with a cushy blanket and fluffy pillows. Ahhhhhhh! I had a great night's sleep laying next to my new mom. Just before she drifted off to sleep, mom cried just a bit. She said, I am a forever gift from DustytheDogcat (now at the Bridge). When mom reached out to pet me with her right hand last night, I reached back and put my left paw and leg on her hand and arm, just like Dusty used to. That's when the flood of tears came. Mom said our purrs are very similar and I like to sleep on her pillow, just like Dusty. Mom thinks a touch of Dusty's spirit lives on in me. I think she's right.
Waking up this morning next to mom was wonderful. I feel so very much at home.
He likes me! Rocket Sprocket likes me!
Wow, in just 24 hours, Rocky has gone from hissing at me to being my furiend! This morning, we had breakfast together -- side by side. Mom was so happy too! Now all I have to do is get Rocky to run and play with me.
The bonding cycle is nearly complete.
Purrs galore!
