I wasn't scared. I was pretending so that I would end up on Youtube again.
Kitcat Afraid of New Washer
From Mom ...
Kitcat was frightened from the moment the delivery men pulled into the driveway. Squirrel was the brave one who went into the basement to rescue all the toy mice that were freed from under the old washing machine. She was also the first to check out the machine in action. She was slightly spooked at first, but quickly dismissed it's potential at being a threat to her.
That's OK Kitcat I was afraid of our washing machine too when I first came to my new home, sometimes when I am in the laundry room the machine starts and jump and run....
Hmmm, I wonder if there are lost mousies under our machine!!!! think I need to go talk to Mom and ask her to check
I bet there are mousies there.
Our old machine was louder, but this one starts and stops and smells different. Plus the men that put it there had big boots and made lots of noise.
And one said he was allergic to cats and was sneezing and sniffling. Well, I am allergic to delivery men.
I'm with you, Kitcat...those delivery men, I am gong to have anaphlactic shock, MOL! Well, maybe not...but I don't like any of them who dare to invade my space.
I don't mind my own washer, though...I eat my noms there, and the dryer is so nice and warm I often sleep there. Ours has been there for over 23 years! It must be trying to break a record!
I have no idea what I would do if they get changed out.
And yes, there are always mousies under those machines...like long lost treasure when they come out!
I won't be climbing on top of the dryer. They are stackable and the top of the dryer is higher than mom's head.
Our old machines have your record beat. Mom got them in 1988. And even way back then they were old and very well used. The washer still worked very well the. The old dryer needed repairs and it just wasn't worth fixing it. Plus mom really wanted to have a stacking pair so she can fit more junk down there.
I used to try and sneak inside the old machines when mom did laundry. She always made sure she spotted me and squirrel, safely not in the machines before she ran them. She knows it won't be long before I probably try and sneak in this new washing machine. So she will continue to watch out for us.
Wow, they were old!
I too have gotten in the dryer...its warm in there!
Our machines are in the kitchen...We are glad we were not here when they were installed, becuase there was no plumbing or electic/gas installed fur them...lots of horrible NOISE and dust...though, now its fun to try and get behind those machines...but meowmy has blocked it off, pawrty pooper!
I don't like delivery guys either, or really any strangers.
I hear you Jezebel!
Mom was really happy to see that I remembered my uncle Martin from three years ago. So when he recently came to visit I didn't go hide. Even when him and his girlfriend were bringing in their luggage and making lots of noise. So I know the difference between friends and strangers, Even if I have not seen the friends in a long time. And I'm only four years old. Also it was the first time I ever saw his girlfriend but I knew she was his friend so I wasn't scared of her.
I'm with you Kitcat. I don't like delivery men or any strangers. Since we just moved there's lots of strange noises here I don't like either.
Those mousies can wait on me till the strangers and strange sounds are gone. I don't care.
23yrs. WOW! Hope ours last that long so as no strangers be coming.
I hate new appliances. They look and smell funny.
Keep an eye on it...can only be up to no good.
Hi Kallie and Nonny!
Mom said no more new appliances except for maybe a refrigerator in the future.
Wow! Good thing you got a new washing machine...cause you are a DDP!
The silver lining...
Purrs for a wonderfur day!
Thank you WeBeesSiameezers! My plan worked.
