Okay, first some background information.
See Squirrel's diary for the "wasp" incident. Since then, there was another where I showed Mom where the wasp was and she dealt with it. Mom is very afraid of wasps.
Well, last night, I joined Mom in bed around 3am. I got on top of her and settled down. She was sleeping soundly and didn't even notice my arrival.
Meanwhile, she had a dream. It was very detailed and felt totally real to her. She dreamed that she was in bed, like she was, got thirsty, reached for her water glass on the night stand, drank some water, felt something come into her mouth, and spit it back into the water glass. In the dim light, she saw it was a WASP!!!! She saw every stripe on it's body. She saw it trying to sting something with its curled up ass end. She looked for something to cover the glass with before it could fly off, but all she could find was too small and didn't cover the entire top and it started to get away. At that point, Mom kind of woke up from her nightmare and jumped pretty well out of bed! I went flying off of her and rolled onto the floor. (This time I landed on my feet.) When she realized that she had been dreaming, she apologized to me. Too late, I went to spend the rest of the night elsewhere. Mom should have known it was a dream as she no longer keeps a glass of water by her bed. We either drink from it, dip our paws in it, or spill it. She has a water bottle, with a lid, by her bed.
I have forgiven her as I am sitting next to her right now and purring.
MOL!!! MOL!!! To funny
Oooo, scary wasp dreams. Glad it was just a dream!
Those wasps are getting back at your Mom...sorry that she had that traumatic nightmare.
Sorry that you were caught up in it,too...but wasps are so nasty.
We sure hope that doesn't happen again...
but nevfurtheless...meowmy had to MOL a bit...
What a skeery dream your momcat had. I'm glad you landed on your feet.
oh Mol what a scary dream for your mom but really did she need to throw you off the bed?!
Too funny the way you play in her water glass and now she has to use a bottle with a lid. She don't wanna share her water with the kitties.
Thank you everyone for reading and commenting on my diary entry. Mom is still shivering when she thinks of her dream. She knows a person who had a can of beer and a wasp crawled in it without him noticing. He then took a drink and got stung in the mouth. The swelling from the sting was alarming and almost blocked his airway.
That is why she got so worried when Squirrel got stung in the face a few years ago. But, luckily, Squirrel did not have a bad reaction and her face did not swell up. But she sure felt the sting!!! I remember her running into the house and meowing in pain.
Mom had a terrible crash on her mountain bike when a wasp flew into her face, got stuck between her sunglasses and face, and stung her. She had a horrible wipeout on rocks. Then, her bike landed on her head. Her helmet saved her from getting hurt real bad.
So, Mom really doesn't like wasps.
OMC! what a horrible experience for your mom no wonder she does not like wasps.
That IS a terrible experience! My brofur got stung when he was a kitten, and his cheeks looked like a chipmunks! He also dumped moms glass of water all over her while she was sleeping (she no longer keeps a glass of water on the headboard). Mol! It's funny how we can all relate to the same stories! I'm sorry your mommy had a nightmare. I'm sure she's glad you furgave her.
Thanks everyone. There is no question that I would forgive her as she forgives us for anything and everything we do. For example, the puke on the floor when she just came home from a long day at work.
Concatulations on being a DDP, today!
Wasps must be good fur something...MOL!

Congratulations on your diary honor! DDp are always so much fun! Hope you had a great day,.
Thank you WeBeesSiamese for the cool card!
And Calie and everyone!
Wasps might be good for something, but not for kitties and Mommies. Maybe the birds eat them? And bears?
Happy diary pick Kitcat!
I wonder if praying mantis will eat wasps. (You can get one as a pet and eliminate the wasp population!).
I don't blame you for sleeping somewhere else after you went flying off the bed! We go more on instinct than understanding the English language! And your instinct was ' I better get out of here "! It's nice you forgave Mom and warmed up to her quickly.
It's a good thing for your Mom that all she had was a dream.
Love Ginger xo
We don't have those mantis things here. Mom would be scared of them anyway.
We always forgive Mom when she accidentally steps on our tail or anything like that. Just like she forgives us when we accidentally scratch her.
It always amazes Mom how quickly we learned that when she did actually step on us, we would look at her like "What the ...." and be prepared to run away but we would look at her first and judge whether or not she was angry. And she would immediately be saying, "I'm sorry!" Then we would relax and let her pet us. We can tell pretty quick that it was an accident. And, of course, Mom NEVER hurts us on purpose. She is just clumsy at times.
