indoors Arrival Story: We found Gizmo at the local humane society. I was under the impression that persians are unintelligent (not entirely off-base when it comes to Gizmo :-/ ), and really didn't care for his appearance. So, we looked at every other eligible cat before visiting Gizmo as a final hurrah. It was instant chemistry.
Persians often wind up in shelters due to the amount of care they require. Additionally, they are sometimes rescued from unscrupulous breeders who treat them as furry kitten/cash machines. If you like the breed please consider rescuing one. Bio: Gizmo is fastidiously clean, affectionate, and quirky. He has a bum eye and sometimes gets startled by things that aren't there. He plays with his toys ferociously--which involves lots of grunting and the occasional hiss. He is clumsy, eccentric, stubborn... and a really awesome cat.
