Arrival Story:
We decided to get a second cat (what were we thinking??) and went to a local shelter to pick one out. My husband had a black cat in mind, but we fell in love with Lola. She was in the shelter for over 2 months. Because she was an older cat, she was passed by over and over. When we opened the cage to get her, she jumped into my husbands arms, a way of saying "get me outta here". She was adopted in May 2004

Bio:
We are quite sure that she is not from this world. She has very alien qualities especially the way she monitors a room or stares at someone. It's almost unnerving to watch her scan a room. She is very quiet , so quite the opposite of our other cat Zeta who constantly pesters her. She whines alot when Zeta gets on her nerves. She has the softest fur! And she can also smile like Meg Ryan!

I am 10 years old meow!

Wow I made it to 10 years! Was not entirely sure this year that I would make it. Had pancreatitis and developed some reactions to some cat foods making it hard for me to keep it all down. Plus I can't eat my favorite dry kibble any more (stupid Diabeetus).

Other than that I still have my kitten days, playing around with Zeta and Minka. But most of the time I just chill out in my favorite hiding spaces and take long naps on my mom and dad's couch while they are at work.

I am trying out raw food for the first time, and I kinda like it! My tummy definitely likes it too. Just high protein and no grains and gluten and i seem to be okay.

It will be a new stage in my life being a senior cat now. I can't get in too many fights with Zeta anymore (he's getting up there in age too, somebody tell him to chill out!).

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes, and here's to me living my life to the fullest!

Meaow.

Wet Food did the trick!

I no longer eat dry kibble, because my vet said that it can help me with my diabetes. So my staff went and bought us some different flavours of wet cat food to try out. Some of the flavours sucked but I did like most of the flavours.

I feel much better. I am more active too. Even my buddy Zeta is enjoying the new diet. It does cost more, my staff say, but I think I am worth it, don't you?

I have Diabetes :(

Dad took me to the vet last week because he and Mom noticed I was losing some weight really fast and I was drinking a lot of water.

The vet doctor said that I have Diabetes and I need to change my food right away! So now I eat only wet food. Good thing that I love wet food very much.

I have to go see the vet again in 4 weeks to see how I am doing on my new diet, and I hope I do not need insulin.

Wish me luck!
