Arrival Story:
Whoops! I had a loving upper class home me and another tuxedo kitty but we were absolutely entranced by this room that had birds in cages and noticed sometimes these birds were allowed to fly free in this room in the house. We kept trying to sneak in and started having great success. So we attacked the Mynah bird, ate some canaries and oh God help us we ate a couple of very valuable parrots! We were to be summarily executed and the family were really cruel to us, locked us up and wanted the pound to promise that they would kill us, put us straight away on death row. No they said we have to try to find them homes, so our people were trying to figure out how to best dispatch us when one of our humans took pity on us poor being slowly starved to death locked up in a dark shed cats and gave us to our Dad. He rehomed one of us because we didn't exactly work well together were very destructive and so the male was homed elsewhere as he didn't particularly want baby cats meaning kittens and we destroyed the house together. My name became Magpie although Dad wanted to name me Parrot as a reminder of how he got me, but Mom said no.

Dad & Mom told the kids that they saw me dumped at the house because the kids were so curious by nature and so always into mischief that they would have tracked down my former owners to talk to them about me and it was best if they did not know my whereabouts as they surely would have executed me they so hated me after I killed their beloved parrots and injured the Mynah bird and ate other birds. They told a story of seeing me dropped off in front of the house, someone stopping and opening the door and putting us out and said that meant no attempts at tracking down our at the time previous owners. I was Mom & Dad's cat at first although the kids thought I was theirs and I did play with them but they were loud and boisterous and too rough for me. I hid out from them a great deal, but I just adored Dad and couldn't wait to see him when he got home, loved to sit by him while he read books and the newspaper and magazines cause Dad just loved to read. My fellow house cat later was Dandelion Wine.

Morphing into a Mermaid Cat for the Kitthaven Estates- party...

Party was just cattabulous very fun! Loved being a mermaid cat since I got to hang out under water with Mouser & with the cutest little Nemo Fish who were of course none other than Shaun the Great & Shane Ladd from our pages who were lovely Himalayan cats in life & they do like the limelight! Grey Lady brought them food & us food me the Mermaid Cat & Mouser the scuba cat who stayed underwater the entire time with the dolphins who swam in with him -- next time some fur should be a dolphin for all the attention that they got too! Hope that it made Beckham's & Emma's birthday extra special & the cats who were celebrating their wedding anniversary too. Hear that my suitor cat from my household? Wedding Dandelion Wine! What do you think? We always were girlfriend & boyfriend cat so think on that one my lovely white cat friend who spent the entire party or much of it utterly confused as to what a Kung Fu Tiger cat does! Your people should have really those running you even if it's the same one running me should have read up on the movie at least. Confused adults who know that movie appealed to kids the Kung Fu Panda movie but (yes, I know no remarks about how Kung Fu Panda resembled Dad at some stages in his life -- hey, Dad now pandas are well loved and are quite attractive! ... And more the rounded belly much smaller than Santa Claus than anything else!) just saw this little part & that little part or who must have slept through it while the kids watched and just don't quite know enough to be comfortable as a Tiger Kung Fu cat! At least you had fun toward the end Dande!

It was great! I swam around & they spent a great deal of time speculating as to how we managed to drink anything underwater without it mixing with the pool water & went back to look for the remarks about eating underwater & couldn't find those remarks but thought that they speculated about how we were eating underwater with it still being tasty too but maybe I just imagined those remarks. Would swear some of the posts that we read just vanished.... Did find the ones about us drinking anything underwater, found those remarks again. Great party! Had fun! At the end we just swam back out to sea & played for awhile before returning to angel cat form -- except we're staying in our pool party form for awhile anyway.... We're going to try to make the cruise to Australia for C&D cruise lines at the end of the week! Will be great fun but need some new angel cat pictures too with Australian backgrounds as part of the time we will wish to be angel cats & not sure if we're ready for the HuCat thing still, but we will see...

We don't think our parents are quite comfortable with us as HuCats yet so we're not going to try that one for now. We're going to the Swim party @ Kitthaven Estates & all the info is in quite a few of the other cats & dogs diaries but will repeat it below all the same as soon as I bring up that page & locate the message. I am a Mermaid cat just morphed into one for the party so that I could swim around & hopefully as in the movie Splash transform back into a cat instead of a human when I hit dry land or pool concrete in this case. Swimming from the ocean even as we speak into that new possibly temp. channel into the Kitthaven pool to arrive at the party on time & long way to swim so will have to let you go in just a minute or two.

Cowsills - Hair Lyrics
Album: Best Of Cowsills

She ask him why
why i'm a hairy guy
I'm hairy noon and nighty-night night
My hair is a fright
I'm hairy high and low
But don't ask me why
cuz he don't know
It's not for lack of bread
Like the Grateful Dead

Gimme a head with hair
Long, beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming,
Streaming, flaxen, waxen

Give me down to there hair
Shoulder length or longer hair
Here baby, there mama
Everywhere daddy daddy

Hair, hair, hair, hair
Grow it, show it
Long as I can grow it
My hair

I let it fly in the breeze
And get caught in the trees
Give a home for the fleas in my hair
A home for fleas
A hive for the bees
A nest for birds
There ain't no words
For the beauty, the splendor, the wonder
Of my...

Hair, hair, hair, hair,
Grow it, show it
Long as I can grow it
My hair

I want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy
Snaggy, shaggy, ratsy, matsy
Oily, greasy, fleecy
Shining, gleaming, streaming
Flaxen, waxen
Knotted, polka-dotted
Twisted, beaded, braided
Powdered, flowered, and confettied
Bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied!

Oh say can you see
My eyes if you can
Then my hair's too short

Down to here
Down to there

Down to where it stops by itself
(No never have to cut it cos it stops by itself)

Oh give me a head with hair
Long, beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming,
Streaming, flaxen, waxen

Won't you gimme it down to there (hair)
Shoulder length or longer (Hair!)
Here baby, there mama
Everywhere daddy daddy
Hair (hair hair hair)
Grow it
Show it
Long as I can grow it
My hair ( hair hair hair)
Grow it
Show it
Long as I can grow it
My hair( hair hair hair hair hair hair hair hair hair)

Oh Aurora! Never knew you at all & never even heard about you, but that album was one that Mom & Dad had and wow did they have fits when one of their daughters appropriated it as hers and when they kept taking it away from her, she tried to sell it at a garage sale, a yard sale since technically we didn't have a garage a couple of times because they made the kids sell clothes that they had outgrown and that weren't enough in style to pass down or couldn't be given to relatives but still had some wear to them and they made them sell old toys & books and souvenirs when the storage areas in the house and their rooms started getting cluttered up! Finally they told their daughter that she had managed to sell the album, but she hadn't! It was their memory album their record album that they had bought together when they briefly lived in a neighborhood around hippies and around flower children after the military & before the children before they decided to fight to get their two children from separate relationships and to adopt others and to foster a child. When they were just out of the military and had causes together. When the kids weren't around, Mom & Dad would dance to that album especially that summer they managed to send them all away separately to camp to visit relatives to accept that standing invitation from one of their friends to visit! They had some great couple time that summer and that album and the Jesus Christ Superstar one and the Jim Croce one were played a great deal and there was wining (not whining) and dining and flowers and candles on the table and romance in the air and oh how they danced, slow dances and fast dances and they wore strange old clothes sometimes too and Dad wore a tie around his head and Mom wore hippie bell bottoms and tie dye and they had such fun!

What was that movie with Colin Firth? That one scene where he puts on his tight old leather pants and dances like when he was a young man reminds me of Dad and something about that actor reminds me of Dad all the same though he doesn't look just like Dad. What a Girl Wants and reminds me of Dad in subject matter though I'm sure no hidden daughter is looking for him and that he's not British aristocracy and certainly his wife was by his side, but the kids were always inventing stories about Dad's past though he would tell them my Dad was a minister and Mom was mega religious and sometimes that they were part of a religious commune that part of the time was in the Midwestern United States in the Grain Belt a Bible Belt and that it was a great religious experiment and a great failure and that they had a difficult time re-assimilating into the normal world although all the kids wanted a normal life and that he didn't want to talk about it otherwise and he would shut up and absolutely refuse to talk about it, but they would fantasize otherwise to the point their Dad would get so tired of it, my human and he would say look, our family was from an infamous mafia family in New York and I either had to become a hit man or go on Witsec and so I chose the latter and their mouths would drop open in shock & for years this worked, but finally they started fantasizing about their Dad's life as a great Mafioso working his way up to Godfather. More on that another time as we were talking about dancing.

Loved to watch Mom & Dad dance! They always watched their kids and their kids friends act out record albums and the kids would ask them to dance and they would say no, only know really old dances and never really was much of a dancer but that was far from the truth! Me & Dandelion later would stare in amazement at our humans dancing and talking and they were so different when the kids weren't around just turned back the clock and became a couple again and talked of how much they needed that time together with the kids away. We weren't allowed on any dinner table with candles but we so enjoyed the smell of the flowers on the table and watching the candle flames and of course, catching any butterflies or moths that the candle flames attracted that were shooed away by Mom's or Dad's hands. We couldn't eat all that they cooked but the food was aside from that cooked in wine or liquor, the type of food they tried with little success to get their kids to eat -- great steamed vegetables carrots and green beans and little potatoes in sauce with mushrooms and great home cooked bread although sometimes they found some from a special bakery earthy and wholesome and not really expensive and just other dishes that were too exotic for the kids taste and we so enjoyed little plates filled with veggies and potatoes and rice and even meats prepared a special way although we didn't get anything too spicy. Sigh. Miss being an earth cat sometimes and enjoying my time with Dad and sometimes Mom and even the kids at times.
