Arrival Story:
I work at a horse stable and there are feral cats living in the woods. One day a lady brought her to the back gate and said she was sitting by the edge of the road (2 lane blacktop) and wanted to know if she was ours. The lady took her home , but brought her back the next day. My friend at work then took her home, but could'nt keep her. I then took her to a vet friend who said she was only about 3 weeks old when we found her. I had to feed her replacement milk to keep her alive till she could eat solid food.

My Tail of Devotion for Munchkin

Munchkin, I really hope you can understand me when I tell you how much I love you. When that lady first brought you to the barn where I work and said she found you out by the road, I was glad when she said she would take you home with her since you did'nt belong to anyone at my work. After all, I already had one cat and did'nt need another. Then the next day she brought you back and said that she could'nt keep you and would I please find a home for you. That was simple enough, the girl I worked with took you.....and the next day brought you right back. Well, I took you home with me and stopped by my vet friend on the way to have you checked out, you were such a little thing. I realized why everyone else did'nt want to keep you when I found out you were only 3 weeks old and needed to be given kitten replacement milk. Well, no problem, I could do that. That's when I realized how special you were. You adopted me as your mother right then and there, and I fed you your mild and cuddled you while you slept. You grew up really fast, and then one day I noticed that you were'nt eating and seemed to just be lying around. I took you to the vet that same day and found out that you really WERE very sick, 104 temperature and the vet said you had to stay there so they could give you i.v's and try to get the fever down. Right then and there I realized how much I had come to love you, and I prayed and prayed that you would get better fast. You had to stay at the vet for almost 3 days, and I was so relieved when I could finally take you home with me. I'll always keep your shots current and take you for your yearly check up "(even though you're still upset about that diet the vet put you on at the last one), and I'll always keep you in kibble and catnip. Most of all, I'll always show you lots of love and play with you as much as I can so you'll know how much you mean to me. Love, Mommy.
