We wanted a little friend for our sick cat, Kelly, so we found this advertising on the Internet and we went to visit them. He picked us, and his mom gave us her approval. He was the smallest one from an accidental litter, his mom tricked the owners. They had no idea she was pregnant, they found the kitties under their bed. They were renovating the house, so they were afraid that someone would hurt them by mistake. They wanted them gone, so we adopted him as soon as he could eat by himself. He came in our home on April 19th, 2008.
Bio:
The owners told us that he was a "SHE". We brought him home, named it Berta and next day we went to our vet to have the O.K. to introduce the kitty to our cat. The vet told us it was a "HE", therefore the name changed to Berti.
He likes to eat, he will eat anything from fruits, to veggies, to meat. Of course he is on a diet (since he was 6 months old) because his weight is very inappropriate for a cat his size, and this makes him a thief. He steels everybody's food (cats, dogs, or people). He is a very good cat, he likes to be brushed, petted, and loved. He likes us and he accepted all the other kitties and dogs that came to live with us with a generosity I couldn't believe it was possible.
I think he believes it is our bodyguard, he protects us from anything that it's strange (like weird noises, or new things).

Today is my birthday! Finally! Mom is still sleepy, but I have some expectation here (O.K., after she has her coffee). One sip, two, three... NOW!!! First, kisses, good petting, relaxing massages... Mom, no singing, please, we have important business here... Toys? Later. Mom? Mom? MOM? O.K., focus now, open that stupid fridge door to see what are my choices... The number of choices... What number? It is my BIRTHDAY, for God sake, do you know how rare are those these days???

Today I am 2!!! Thanks to Caster for birthday wishes and presents!!!! Mom kissed me and apologized she almost forgot! We had a rough morning, calling the vet and such. We have to go to the vet today to be weighted (mom will be upset because we are all overweight and the vet doesn’t like that), because Bronte vomited a worm and we all have to be treated for that, too. Our vet and mom cannot understand how this is possible because we are all indoor cats. Since we got Bronte, we are periodically on worm treatment!
But I hope a big celebration this afternoon! (Good food, please!!!!)
