Arrival Story:
I was volunteering at the local humane society and looking to adopt a cat eventually, but I was fairly sure I didn't want a kitten. I mentioned this to one of the girls working there and she immediately suggested I adopt a kitten she was fostering. I was hesitant, but agreed to meet the kitten. The kitten I met, of course, was Layla. She was so well behaved and let me hold her without squirming or trying to claw me for nearly half an hour. And she had such pretty big blue eyes, that I couldn't not adopt her. When I brought her home, I realized just how lucky I was. Not only is she well-mannered and trained, she is the perfect companion. She follows me wherever I go and has the loudest purr I've ever heard. I feel like I really lucked out, finding her.
