Arrival Story: I saw Benjamin on-line at the NOAH Animal Shelter in Stanwood in October; it took awhile to adopt him because he got sick about the same time I got Sciatica in the fall. Then in January 09, I was well enough to drive up to Stanwood and adopt him.

Bio: Well, it happened this way. My own mommy had to give me up because the human, who owned our home, said "NO animals,†so she had to find me a new home. I didn't want to go but we had no choice. She took me to the NOAH Animal Shelter in Stanwood and they promised to find me a new forever home. I was there for about a month and got a respiratory virus and eye infection and was sick for several months. While I was there, one of the ladies that worked there told me that a lady had emailed about me and while I was in the ICCU (Intensive Cat Care Unit), she was calling every week about my progress. She kept this up for the several months I was sick and I found out later (after she adopted me) from my brother Scooby, that she had been sick at the same time. In January, she came up, adopted me, and took me home to meet my new family. My daddy is a good daddy; he talks to me and keeps me entertained. My brother Scooby and I got along real well when we first met. Then there is my little sister, Numiko; she and I are not exactly friends, but we're not enemies. Only time will tell. I was really scared when I first came home with mommy. I didn't recognize anything and nothing was familiar and I didn't understand what was happening. After several months, I got bold enough to go upstairs. I had stayed downstairs for a long time because I was afraid of going upstairs. I thought there were monsters up there because I could hear them. I found out later that it was what mommy and daddy call a T.V. Mommy & Daddy wouldn't let me outside when I started to come upstairs because they were afraid I would run away. I wanted to get outside and smell the outdoors (I was an indoor/outdoor kitty in my old home) so one day; I slipped through their feet while they were letting Scooby back into the house. I got down in the yard and decided to explore. I could hear them calling me but I was free at last! I walked and walked until I was completely lost. When dawn approached, I couldn't find my way home so I hunkered down until nighttime came again and then was able to find my way home again. Daddy and mommy were so glad to see me because they thought I was gone for good. Since then, I have stayed in my own back yard. Mommy and I are good friends but I think I like my daddy better. Sometimes we'll even take a nap together during the daytime. It's only at night when it gets a little crowded because mommy is there plus Numiko insists on sleeping there too! If Scooby were allowed to sleep on the bed, it would really be crowded, MOL!
UPDATE! Scooby does get to sleep on the bed so it's getting crowded now. I have a new "sisfur' and her name is Queen Belle Bella and she is almost like Scooby, in other words, she's a PUG! We call her Bella, she's okay. She also gets to sleep on the bed.

Lives Remaining: 8 of 9

Forums Motto: I'm not surprised at anything.

My New Auntie: I found out what an Auntie is; she's really GREAT! She has gone back home BUT she promised me she would be back again next year. I am SO waiting for her. She is such a wonderful Auntie. I can hardly wait until she comes back.
