Arrival Story:
At midnight one cold Feb. night in 2008, a loud cry was heard at the back door. Looking out the window, a cat could be seen looking at the closed back door. The cries were dismissed and it was thought that the cat would return to its home. The next night the same thing the cat was not seen all day. The third night the cries got louder and lasted until 4 am. Finally the door opened and there she was a cat with blood in her eye and her head was tilted badly to the one side. A hand reached out and she responded with her head cupping in the hand. She was cold, pregnant and hurt. Food was given. She ate it quickly. A box appeared and she went inside and it had towels that felt nice and warm. The next day she was crying again, so hungry. She was fed and in the box she went. This went on for days. She didn't seem worse due to the injury. She started comming to the name Dipsey. She must have been kicked hard. She likes to be loved and is under foot. The house across the road from the place she was found was a rental and the people, left quickly. She must have left her to care for herself, unwanted. She came to Calico Junction and was treated and given a warm bed, and food. March 18th 2008 she gave birth to 6 babies. A week later one died. One little black one was half the size of the others. When they were 8 weeks old they were all adopted except the little black one. No one wanted him. Dipsey stayed with him 2 extra weeks and he did not grow much. He was given extra kitten milk and canned food. Dipsey left for one night and had her visit to the vet. When she returned she licked and licked her baby. She didn't have milk but the baby never cared. They are still together today. They have their own house 12 x 14. They have every comfort every cat would like to have. They have TV/VCR, A.C., exhaust fans, heat, chairs, toys, window shelf plus all the food they want. Her sons name is Decker and he is our youngest at Calico Junction. I want to THANK EVERYONE for all the wonderful Birthday wishes and gifts. I will get Girl Human to send each of you a proper thank you as soon as she is able to stay awake long enough. She is to tired when she gets home from work these days. All this work she is not use to. To little work before, now to much. Guess she should be happy, when she gets that paycheck>>>> Tee Hee!!!!

Girl Human had said that my Birthday was Feb.15th. I'm not sure, but that is what she told me, when I came to the Junction.

Today is the Very First time I have gotten to celebrate my Birthday on Catster. Decker had put pretty shiny balloons in our house. At first the scared me, but now I think they are real pretty. I am sitting on my top shelf, over the desk just looking at them. I wish the sun was out so I could see them sparkles better.

I got a catnip plant from Human Grandma and a big furry mouse from the Junction kitties. Wow this is a special day. Girl Human said Male Human will give me a special dinner tonight.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME< HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME
