Arrival Story:
When I was four years old, a family friend adopted a stray cat. Soon after, he found out that she was pregnant-from the litter of kittens. She had two twin calicos with nearly identical markings, and two boys. One tabby, one black and white. My siblings and I got to name the kittens, and they were dubbed Timon, Pumbaa, Binky (because the dog liked to gently chew on her), and I named my favorite, the little calico, Emily after the little girl in Hocus Pocus, which I had just seen. Two months later, I turned five and the kitten I had named became mine. She's been mine ever since, and spoiled rotten.

Bio:
In February, Emily had some tummy problems and started barfing sporadically around the house. Toward the end of February, she stopped eating and drinking and when we took her to the vet, we discovered she had an intestinal blockage. We couldn't afford the surgery nor did the vet think she would live through it anyway, so my parents decided to just make her last few days comfortable so I could come up and say goodbye. She died in my arms, and will always be my baby kitty.
