He was last seen Nov.14th. We live near a campground someone may have picked him up thinking he was homeless plus many people were traveling out of state for Thanksgiving.. We have searched the area/woods/neighbor yards, sheds, farms and hired a search dog, posted 18x24 full color signs with large photo and posted Reward last week. We have sent posters to vets, groomers, pet stores, animal control, SPCA's and craigslist within 60 miles. We have gone door to door and have been cursed at on the phone when asking permission to search their property. We have visited rescue operations within 45 miles some locals daily. We even found some that don't advertise. I have canvased all the lost and found sites I can find on the internet. His picture has been posted on peoples sites through out the country and even people in Europe and Australia placed his photos on their sites, people on Catster and Facebook have been placing his Lost posters on their pages.. Authors for cat books and magazines placed his photo on their facebook pages. We have visited cat colonies and fed the cats trying to see if he may have joined one. Please everyone please help us bring Mr. Z Home.

Is there anyone at the campground you can talk with? Maybe they saw or heard of someone finding a cat.....I think of when the humans go on vacation, they stay at the same place and go at relatively the same time each year. In fact they keep in touch, year round with their "vacation buddies". Maybe some of these campground folks do the same thing.

We sent a 5x7 poster to each of the campgrounds near us for them to hang up. The one closest to us just ended their season before Thanksgiving and closed. the other 2 are year round and further away. I sent a post to the closed one's other address as they also have apartments and cabins. asked them to keep an eye out that maybe one of their tenets may have the cat. That is where we think the one person lives that we think could have walked off with him. We also place 18X24 signs on the entrance and exit to the area. There is only one road into the area. Since we have such a lot of open land and forests here it is hard hunting. We also have wild animals like coyotes, but never in this area. They go to the farms at the base of the mountains and get the chickens, turkeys and easy pray. Must close still have to write a diary entry then go to bed. Thanks for the ideas keep them coming there must be things I have not covered. Have a good eve. Have to work tomorrow night. So catch you when I can.

You have done everything you could possibly think of. I don't have any new ideas for you. Don't give up hope, we're all still purring up a storm.

Sieben, Mr. Z, you are Diary Pick today. That is good news but even better news is when you come home. I hope no one out of state picked you up and took you home. That means you'd have to post Missing signs through all the USA, but then that might be a good idea too.

I was reading up above what Annie said. She thinks the one person lives there that could have walked off with you. Does your Mom know that one person?Could your Mom hang around there a whole day somehow, sitting in the car, or driving in and out often, or walking through in disguises all day, just to see a kitty in a sunny window, wishing it was outside?

Or see if a kitty is let out for awhile, then it having to go back inside by whoever took him. I have desperate ideas. Or when it gets dark, she can innocently see through the windows from a distance or walk past different lit up windows.

Or knock on that person's door and pretend she needs directions or something.

Maybe your Mom hadn't thought of those yet! But we still prayed you will come home safe.

Just tonight there was a little kitty under Dad's car when he returned to it, after being at Burger King. He called to it, and it was afraid a bit but it walked away, but it did not walk away too fast. It kept its distance from dad. But he did not want to go after it anyway because there are lots of apartments around and it likely belonged to someone. He did not want to go for the kitty either as he did not want to scare it to run into the traffic. So he left it alone and it crossed the street to where apartments were.

But it's easy to see how a kitty outside could be a stray, never knowing in actuality it really belongs to someone who lets the cat in and out all the time. He has seen other kittys wandering near Burger King too and they could belong to people in those apartments but otherwise they might be strays. So it is possible someone took Mr. Z if they think mistakenly that he is a stray. So your Mom has to comb out the areas of the apartments too I guess. It's a long job searching but worth it when the kitty is found.

Love Ginger xo

Reading more of whaz up. Do not be concerned about the coyotes. They will go for rabbits before kitties. Rabbits don't have claws and can't climb trees. Sounds like you have lots of natural food around for Mr. Z to eat which is good! If he is on the loose and lost he will stay healthy until you find him. Is he chipped? I wasn't, so mom made sure all the vets around knew my face and kept calling and visiting shelters every three days. As for the person who may have him: Don't be shy. With a friend, walk up, knock on the door and stick a door flyer or poster in their face. Ask if they'd seen him. Mom did that and it helped rule out that person - and they also started helping look!
