I had made a misjudgement in deducing that kitten "Matata" had mated with his dam "Matahari" at the age of 8 months as "Matahari' has again come into heat on Friday(22-1-2010). Matata is still a playfull kitten and has not learned about the "Mating game".

After a long time cat "Matata" suddenly went out of the bedroom window and sat on the 3 inches ledge surveying the World 5 floors below, A simple slip of his balance would cause him to drop 5 floors to his death or broken bones if the proverb, "A Cat has 9 Lives comes true".On seeing him i really panicked as the window gratings are too small for his plump physique unlike his dam "Matahari" who is sleek and flexible. On calling his name he coolly walked into the bedroom from his death defying ledge pretending as if it was a normal early morning stroll. From kitten to cat, "Matata" is a real mystery , a freak of the "Cat world"

Kitten "Matata" just completed 9 months of age on Tuesday(29-12-2009). He is now officially a male "Tom Cat" but it seems he turned sexually mature at approx 8 1/2 months having mated with his dam "Matahari", something which took me by surprise. His behaviour is still of a charming cute kitten as he has developed the perfect body configuration of the "Traditional Persian cat(Doll-Faced Persian)". Another funny behaviour off his is his tendency to behave like a dog, especially during "Food hours". As soon as his name is called he runs towards me for morsels of "Table food' something he relishes besides his normal "Cat food". He is slightly obese and very active and agile for his short long body configuration, having completed all the dangerous cat walks around the house window ledges.Strange, before completing a year, cat matata could become a father of his dam "Matahari's " kittens!

"Matata" attains "SEXUAL MATURITY" at 8 1/2 months!(Friday- 11-12-2009)

Observed "Matata" trying to mount his dam "Matahari" in the night, absolutely sexually aroused. Matahari is in "Heat" and hence she allows him to mount her and the resulting consequence could be "INBRED KITTENS". "Matata" has also become normal in his excretion habits, defecating just once in 24 hrs and his "Stools" being normal and hard. He is an absolutely glutton, worse than a feral cat and hence i was afraid regarding his "Digestive powers". Previously he used to defecate at least twice in 24 hrs.

Matata's behaviour is bizarrely akin to a dog and not a- cat?(Tuesday 2-12-2009)

As mentioned previously, kitten "Matata" is bizarrely doglike in his behaviour, a dog in a cats body. He is very fond of our meal titbits during our lunch or dinner and runs like a dog when called by name between me and the house-keeper Sabina.Dias to get tit-bits from us both. I have never seen a cat running towards its master or owner unlike dogs although they do respond to their name.Another factor is his deceptively looking plump stature which makes us humans think he is a clumsy climber, a feline laggard as are most "Persian Cats".This has been proved totally wrong as although he was a slow learner compared to his siblings during kittenhood, now, aged 8 months , has climbed every nook and corner that his dam "Matahari" has accomplished. In physical structure he is an ideal replica of the "traditional doll Faced Persian Cat" that adorned "cat Magazines" a decade ago before arrival of the "Flat-Faced Persian cat".

On Friday(27-11-2009) kitten Matata jumped onto the gallery ledge with the greatest of confidence, also allowing me to photograph him and the same printed on his "Catsters Diary".As mentioned previously. "Matata's" body structure and body weight makes him very clumsy candidate for jumping onto high walls or ledges akin to his dam "matahari". i am surprised at his amazing agility despite his "fat kitten weight" and short stubby body, the ideal "Traditional(doll- faced) Persian cat". Only hope he doesn't meet with any mishap and loses this bad habit with age maturity.

"Matata" copy's each and every behaviour of his dam "Matahari" including her suicidal "cat walks" on the window and gallery ledges. He is a "EATING MACHINE", worse than a starving street feral cat, reasons beyond my comprehension. This has made him obese and he resembles a cuddly toy teddy bear with his brown colour and affinity to stand up on his two legs occasionally.

"Matata" a model for "GLUTTONY"

Matata just lives to eat, a unstoppable eating machine.Whats the reason for this extreme guttony? Is it a hormonal deficience? I have never seen either a dog or cat having a tendency for "Gluttony" as has "Matata".I owned two dogs , a spitz "Blondie" between 1976 to 1984 and a dachshund "Lucky" between 1985 to 1994.Both were never as gluttonious as kitten "Matata".Guaranteed,"Matata" would win a 1st prize in any "Cat Competition" concerning "Eating". Another strange habit about "Matata" is that he imitates his dam "Matahari" to the "T", copying everything she does, including her death defying "window balance" cat walks, a owners nightmare.

"Entry as the biggest kitten glutton in "Limca Book Of- Records"?

Kitten Matata at almost 7 months of age has developed into an "Eating Machine", a unbelievable appetite to consume anything ,"non-Vegetarian". Whats the reason for this extreme "GLUTTONY".? Is it a genetical defect as he is also a freak kitten from the litter, the only odd brown colour and also short and stubby like the traditional doll-faced Persian cat.I can guarantee that in a kitten competition for eating "Matata' would clinch the first prize as he could put the worst "feral street cat" to shame in "Food Cleaning".In India we have the "Limca Book Of Records" akin to its World counterpart "Guiness Book Of world records" which registers the best, worst and amazing achievements of humans, animals and machines in India. "Matata" is very deserving of the title ,"Most Gluttonous Indian bred kitten".

Kitten Matata is very intelligent and its behaviour is akin to a puppy rather than a kitten, barring its suicidal skills of climbing onto windo ledges. He knows when he commits a mistake and akin to a human child quickly regrets the same, running away from the scene of "Mischief"! After spanking him for going out of the bedroom and kitchen windows he now avoids the same but still goes out and looks outside the window grails. He quickly runs away on seeing me aproaching him, absolutely hilarious. Regarding "Eating Habits", they have a hierarchial order of eating with dam Queen cat Matahari eating the lions share and later kitten matata feeding on the leftovers. I feed them in the same plate and both eat together without any quarreling but after a few bites kitten Matata drifts from the plate allowing Matahari to have her complete feed. He later goes and eats again after she has finished her share of the food. Matata, unlike his dam Matahari has the habit of eating our "table Leftovers' and relishes this food much more than his actual "cat Food" of "Mince meat/boiled rice" and hence also has the peculiar habit of waiting till we finish our meals and then eating his "Cat food" if he doesn't get any tit-bits from us. Thanks to Matahari, Matata and parakeet mittoo, the loneliness of living alone and single has never affected me at home.
