"Matata" a male kitten of "Matahari" added to Rudolph.a.Furtado's "Cat Family".

Tomcat Matata, the natural house "Alarm Clock", (Wednesday- 8-5-2013)

Since the past one year tomcat Matata has developed this unique and terrible habit of "Yowling" early in the morning and waking up the house-hold.He yowls daily between 0400 hrs to 0500 hrs and have never been able to correct this bad habit.As a "Stud Cat" he is a total flop akin to a "Gelding horse" for he simply doesn't know the method of mating.His yowling is typical of any male cat, only difference is that he "yowls" without a purpose and its just a natural inherited cat behaviour.I haven't got him neutered since it was my intention to mate him with his dam Matahari to start a new bloodline of "Mumbai Persian cats" which would be resistant to humid Mumbai weather.This plan has failed as Matata just refuses to mate and just plays around with his dam matahari akin to a kitten.He is very cute and childish in behaviour.Due to the humid Mumbai weather his fur tends to clot and its trouble maitaining his thick fur in a smooth condition.He is normally healthy and fish is his favourite diet.

IS TOMCAT MATATA A "GAY CAT" OR A "SEXUAL MISFIT"?- (Thursday 7-2-2013)

On 29-3-2013 Tomcat Matata will be 4 years of age, at the utmost prime in terms of "Cat Age" and a father of numerous kittens if a "STUD CAT". Sadly, he is a total flop as a "STUD CAT"previously i was under the impression that his dam matahari was unwilling to mate with him which was proved wrong on recent observation just a week back.Queen cat matahari was in "HEAT" and absolutely frisky, toying with matata to mate with her. They spent 2 days chasing each other, normal "CAT PLAY" before actual mating.I observed that matata didn't know how to mount matahari for mating, something that comes normally to cats or dogs.He would just jump on her halfway and then get down.Matata likes being petted near his rump when excited, lifting his tail.Both cats sniff at each other and matata "YOWLS" loudly at night when sexually excited as do all tomcats, a disturbance to his human companions in the house.His worst bad habit is his loud yowling at midnight or early morning, but, he doesn't know the method of mating.My inytention was to inbreed matata to his dam matahari to create a "Mumbai Persian Cat" that could be acclimatised to hot and humid Mumbai weather conditions.As a specimen of his breed he is excellent and handsome, very ferocious and strong built. Sadly, as a "STUD CAT" he is a failure.He is the most loving cat and behaves like a child and i am a bit sad that my plans of breeding a "MUMBAI PERSIAN CAT" has flopped.

A Balanced "Cat Food Formula", cheap and- nutritious.(Wednesday(28-11-2012)

If you have the time and not fussy about handling raw meat and fish products , then my personal experience says that cooked fish waste added to minced boiled meat along with rice is the best natural food for cats. I discovered this “CAT FOOD FORMULA” on an experimentation basis realizing that a lot of fish was wasted in the fish markets in Mumbai.I now collect the fish waste, boil it at home and give my cats a mixture of rice/minced meat/fish waste. My cats Matahari & Matata are now beautiful specimens of their breed type with excellent fur coat.Prior to this they would shed their fur in excess than normal, addition of fish in their diet improved their health considerably. Try this for your cats if you have the time as most people are too busy at work to prepare fresh food for their cats. Hence the billion dollar business of “PACKAGED CAT FOOD”.Remember, "PACKAGED FOOD" also consists of the same products that i use, only difference, a multinational pet company sells it and it is processed and smells and looks good.
