indoors Arrival Story: I was in quest of a yellow kitty. I always wanted a female long haired orange kitty. I never have gotten my dream kitty, or have I??? After Scarlet, Sophia, Peaches, and Amber I have decided I have come as close as I will ever get. After my longtime friend Sheme(Norwegian Forest Cat) who had cancer and pasted on, she was 20, I started to look for the yellow kitty everywhere.
I would go to our SPCA and film the adoptable cats and dogs and put it on a VCR loop tape and play it all day where I worked. People would come in just to see the tapes each week. A lot of cats and dogs were adopted that way.
Breeders would always take the kittens that got to big and they didn't sell to our local SPCAs. I found a British Shorthair, Lilac Point Hemi, Turkish Van, and Sophia the Maine Coon thru the years. It was all because Male Human had said the would love to have a Maine Coon one day. Bio: HEX TIME AGAIN__I walked in one day, just to look at the cats that were available. I saw a Maine Coon mother and 2 Babies in a cage. The Male was an Orange and White Puff Ball, Mommy Puff Ball and then there was Sophia a little ball of super puff. I looked at the yellow kitty and saw it was a boy. I had in mind to find the rare female long haired yellow kitty. I left, and as it has happened before, I went home and thought about what I saw. ALL NIGHT AND THE NEXT MORNING, the yellow kitty was on my mind.
Next afternoon there I was, driving back to the SPCA. I thought well, I will get the yellow kitty and the other kitten(Sophia) if they are still there. When I arrived and looked in the cage all there was Sophia, no brother, no Mommy. I didn't ask, and didn't want to know what happened to Mommy. Brother was adopted that morning. The remaining puff ball, was so very small.
I was told, she was 8 weeks old. I'm sure she could not have even been more then 5 weeks. She was real unsure of her footing and she didn't know how to play with toys or catch a feather without falling down. She was as cute as a button. I think I would have left her at the SPCA, if her mother had been with her.
She was so very brave. She sat there looking at me saying, "I knew you were mine and you would return for me.My Mommy put the guilt HEX on you yesterday. She told me you would return today. She knew I needed you, Girl Human".
So there I was heading to the vet with my new charge. Now she is MY spoiled rotten DIVA. Lives Remaining: 6 of 9 Forums Motto: I want it>> MY WAY<< The Groups I'm In: Kitties Who Need Friends, Royal CaninĀ® Felines, Stunning photos, The Birthday & Gotcha Club
