Check the Diary Entries by Annie our SpokesCat. She always has a story about the Junction.
I am the funniest Angel at the Bridge I dies of Hyperthyroidism "Now for my story and how I got here".
I was a reject by a breeder because my markings were not "show quality". I was taken to the SPCA.
I was lucky to have won the heart of the Girl Human. She didn't take me the day she saw me. She returned with the Male Human and had him hold me. I was in the door of Calico Junction, that minute. Off to the vet I went. I got to go home after spending a few days there. I didn't feel well, I was given my own room for a week. I met the rest of the tribe after I was better. I am blind in one eye, that happened just a few years back but I run thru the house in the dark at full speed and talk as I go. I slam into the kitchen cabinets, love the noise. I love the wood floors they are so cool, I can slip and slide and run so fast. I'm a little devil and a real vocal cat. I love showers, bath tubs and sinks . I love to play in the water and shake my paw when it is wet, so I can hear one of the Humans yell my beautiful name. Anyone who visits always pets me and says I'm beautiful. I have my own chair at the Thanksgiving table. I have very good manners, I wait until everyone has a full plate and I do my approach. I now get my own special plate at the table. I have earned the Honor-TEE HEE!!!
I do well and get my Turkey sample. I would rather have the whole breast. One time the girl human placed a foiled wrapped hunk on the stove. I opened it, grabbed it and started for the bath tub. I did get more then I should have and had to go to the Vet. Once I knocked a pizza box off the counter and grabbed a slice for myself. The Humans took it away from me. My finest hour was when I grabbed an empty tuna fish can, trying to get it into the bath tub, it was work, and all the Humans did was laugh. I did get to keep the can that night and wash it out myself.
I have been known to grab T bones, pork ribs, and anything that is not put in the oven for safe keeping.
I am known as the "DEVIL KITTY"> TEE HEE!!!
I left for Rainbow Bridge March 9, 2011 after a long fight with Hyperthyroidism. I am the "Bestest" Angel Ever, Purrrrrrreeetttt. I will be watching over all my beautiful Catster's. Don't be sad. I can now run with all my fur family in the meadows and play hide in seek with the butterflies. This is not the end of me, you'll see, TEE HEE.
I love you all, I'll be watching you. Purrrreeettt.
Your Catster Angel from Calico Junction, SCARLET. Bio: One time I ate a cooked 8 inch stalk of broccoli without chewing it, had to go to the Vet for that too. My other favorite thing to do is grab jewelery, pens, and shiny things. I have been called a raccoon because of my "love for shiny". I love to hide my treasures in places that are never found until the furniture moved. I make life interesting.
I am blind in one eye now. I lost my sight two years ago. It does not slow me down. I run as fast as the rest of my Forever Kitties and love the 4 a.m. Crazies. Lives Remaining: 4 of 9 Forums Motto: Me Hungry The Groups I'm In: FANCYPANTS CAFE, Olde Furts, Royal CaninĀ® Felines, Stunning photos
Girl Human and I wrote this to thank our beloved fur friend Taffy's Humans for a lovely remembrance. We could not improve on the message and it needed to be shared with all of you. As Taffy went to the Bridge a week before Scarlet. They are Catster friends forever.
I can't believe a year has passed. At other times it seems forever. When Girl Human saw this photo it is as if she is looking at Scarlet. The hair texture is identical. The colors the exact same. Girl Human has looked and looked for another who look like our two Angels. Never anywhere close to the same. The faces tell it all. The expressions Scarlet gave were unmatchable. That, I'm a clown look. That, you better watch out because "I'm Queen". We miss her dearly as, I know you do Taffy.
Thank you for the wonderful remembrance of her passing.
March 9th at 12:00 noon marked the passing of one year. Always loved and forever missed. May both you and Sweet Taffy show Rainbow Bridge what a true Turkish Van is all about. Smiles everyone.
Since Catster decided to recognize our wonderful Turkish Vans breed today, Girl Human did a little update to my page.
Girl Human has going down memory lane. All the things that made her laugh through the years, where rushing through her mind this morning. She has had a smile on my face and a tear in eye ever since She turned on Catster, early this morning.
We miss her dearly. The Thanksgiving table will feel so different this year. We were so fortunate to have shared our lives with her.
She always had her own place setting at the holiday tables. She sat so patiently, waiting for the big feast to be presented to "HER". What a day that was for her. Guests never once questioned her presents. They always enjoyed her company. A cat at the table??? She was no cat, believe me.
Kitties were never allowed in the dining room for such special dinners. But she was something, beyond special. She managed to invite herself one year long ago, and was always welcomed after that. She always had manners and never placed her feet on the table. Well almost never. She was quit the lady.
For all who have never had a Turkish Van, let me say you are missing the best part of life. There is nothing like them. What a surprise we had when she arrived in our lives. She was the clown of the house. She was loved by all Humans and kitties. She befriended whom ever she met in a matter of minutes.
Girl Human said she looks forward to the day they meet again. What a wonderful blessing she was to Calico Junction Sanctuary.
Please watch her little video and you will see a small part of her funny life, you can't help but laugh at this clown.
A lot of her stories are on Annie Spokescat's diary entries here on Catster. We invite you to look back and enjoy our stories.
Since Girl Human is working these odd hours it is hard for us to get together. I wanted her to do this entry and to thank everyone for all they have done for us during our adjustment time.
I celebrated my first birthday here at Rainbow Bridge and it was a lot of fun. I do want you to know that I loved all my beautiful gifts, messages and cards. You Catster furrends are so very very nice.
Please do not think for one minute that I did not like all the attention I was given on my special day.
Here is a big hug and kiss of thanks for each and everyone of you. You all are so very special to all of us Calico Junction kitties and kitty angels.
