Science has reported the Theta waves (a brain wave connected to anxiety) receives a positive biochemical hormone release when the simple act of petting a cat is preformed. The positive reaction occurs in both the Human and the cat.
Who do you feel benefits the most and why to you think that??

I think efurone WINS. When mama pet me, she feel better AND SO DO I. They's no losers. MOL
well of course Novi is right but I gotta say no matter how much mom loves loving me I am a kinda anxious kitty and I sure do calm down when mom or dad make me sit still long enough to get some real luvin and petting. Dad says I zonk out when we get time alone together. Mom said it is cause I relax and feel so at ease like at no other time than when I am in the safety of my daddy's hands. In my case I think I get the most benefits.
I think the human wins, because after all, they are getting to pet me! MOL MOL. But seriously, we both win.
Me and thee and we...those are the winners and all are happy!
And meowmy sees happy residents, and happy pets that come to get petted where she works...it truly is a win-win!
