Arrival Story:
I had lost one of my two 18 yr old part siamese cats 2 months earlier, (Betsy), and had another at home who could go at any time. A friend asked me to go to the Humane Society with her because she wanted another cat. I didn't want to bring in another cat or kitten in my home for fear of upsetting my "KitKat" who didn't get off my bed any more except to eat and potty. They were so full that cages were out in the lobby and halls. In one of the hallway cages was a litter of kittens that were all sleeping, except this one. Every time I bent down she would run to me and want to play. The lady who fostered the litter happened to be there and told me that this one was her favorite. (Of course she was.) She told me that this one was always playing, and was very curious. She would cry every time I tried to walk away from her. This should have given me a hint as to how much of a "talker" she was gonna be when she grew up, but it didn't. She can wake the dead with her scream, and will not shut up until she gets what she wants. My friend who kept on with the "Oh go on, take her", now calls her "the little screaming black a** banshee". :) LOL

Three weeks after getting Kallie I lost KitKat. It was really tough but having this little kitten who still needed and loved me helped me with the pain. Kallie is my baby now, she meets me at the door and tells me all about her day. She sleeps with me every night and is always there for me. She can be quite the demanding little kittie, but that's OK, I love her with all my heart and would be so lost without her.

Meow to all my old furiends, :))

I have missed you all so much. We still don't have internet at the house, but we have a mobile hotspot and Mom says we can come back to Catster as long as we don't eat up to many bytes of her contract. (I know what I'd like to bite.) Mol
I hope Everyone has been OK. Joey and I are fine, we have a new member in our family. A stray that took up with Mom at the Motel 6. Mom wanted to name him 6 but got shot down. So 1 day I'll have to introduce you to Loki,
my new younger brofur.
Nobody is thrilled with Waco, TX. but what the hay, it's home for the moment. And the size as the bugs here. wooohooo, a meal in itself.
Take care all, and I'll be baaack. love, Kallie

Hello Furs&Family,
This is Mom here, I have a question and am seeking your opinions. Kallie has always been uber athlete. Making astounding jumps and running till there's no end. This Sept she'll be 9yrs old, and she does have a heart condition,
(she's on pills). Well she's in love with Da Bird and begs to play every day with it. It's obvious she still wants to play. (She's always been a Huge player).
Now here's my quandary> she wants to lay down and have me swing it over and around her rather than the normal chasing and jumping for it. And this is with no other cats in the room.
Is this age? Heart condition? A combination of both? I'm worried about her change here and would appreciate your feed back. She really is my baby.
Thank ya'll for your help. Kallies' Mom, Jeanie

PS> My cat before her lived to be 17 and played up till a month before she died. 8 and a half seems young to be doing what she's doing here.
