Mom says I am THE finickiest in the country. I don't know whether to be insulted or flattered. Really I prefer to think that I have a very refined palate. We get both canned and dry food. Mom knows that overall canned food is usually healthier for kitties, but she likes to provide us some dry food too while the humans are gone for the day...and she says it helps clean our teeths.

Anyway, she bought us Orijen. I give it 2 paws down. Blech! Can't stand the stuff. She says its healthy. Big whoopity do! Now I know some of you moms are saying, "oh just give it to him. If he gets hungy enough, he'll eat it." Au contraire! I can go without eating for a whole day. I often skip the canned food if its a flavor I don't like and of course I won't touch that dry crap...I won't eat until dinner time when mom cracks and gives me something I do like. She feels bad cause I'm on the skinny side & so she'll eventually give in. Trust me, these eyes can be really convincing!! MOL!

So now she is getting ready to buy more dry food and doesn't know what to get. Oh and did I mention that I also have now snubbed 2 other flavors of canned food that I used to eat?? yep!! Gotta keep mom on her toes!

Oh, and that Napoleon Complex thing. Mom keeps saying that about me cause I'm, well, I'm the smallest now (blushes) but I still let the others know I'm KING!! I chase down Harry and smack Coco out of my way. Pixie I just like to wrestle with. That girl is ok in my book.

Mom also says I'm spoiled. WHAT????!!! How can she say she loves me & then say these mean things?? I'm her little J-bird, sweet punkin pie face!!!

You know, I often decide randomly for no good reason I won't eat my nom noms anymore. Sometimes, I just get sick of my food and turn up my nose at it until mom finds a new one for me. It's the weirdest thing. Mommy has no idea why I do it, I'm just special like that.
And you know what, you might be spoiled, I'm spoiled, but spoiled just means LOVED! Our families love us and shower us with presents, they just like to tease us sometimes. Silly humans, jump on their tummies while they are sleeping to get back at them!

I have gotten pickier in my old age, too. But you need to eat, it's not good to loose a lot of weight so I'm purring that you will stay healthy!

Thanks guys! I told mom I wasn't the only picky cat! Good to know that others have a "refined palate" like me!!! Khaki, I just turned 3 & have been picky ever since I was a teeny tiny kitten. Mom keeps a close eye on me to make sure I eat and I have my yearly check up coming up too, so she'll be talking to the vet to make sure I'm at a healthy weight.

Hi Jules. I am the picky eater in our house. I ONLY eat wet food, I won't touch dry, which is okay with Mom except that she must be home to serve me my wet food at least twice a day. It must be fresh from the can, I won't eat anything that's been refrigerated even if it's warmed up. I don't think of myself as picky - I just know what I like, and if Mom doesn't give me what I like, I won't eat! I agree with what River meowed - we are not spoiled, just LOVED!
