Cat sweaters have been blowing up lately, from Kellie Pickler's limited-edition banjo-strumming, sequin-studded design for the ASPCA to the Opening Ceremony x Glamour collaboration that made its cat-tastic debut earlier this month during New York Fashion Week.

The latest player to enter the fray is the precious Cat Eyeglasses Sweater from feline fashion trendsetters ModCloth. As if the vintage-inspired, paint-by-numbers kitty face isn't enough, I'm driven to a state of feline fashion frenzy by its chic cat's-eye spectacles and peaches-and-cream bow.

Look smart and chic in this kitty sweater

I like to imagine the cat on the sweater is named Francine, and that she works at the library, dutifully staffing the reference desk and helping patrons find books on cat history and design. She yells at people who are eating or talking too loudly on their cellphones (my #1 library pet peeve, FYI) and by night, helps keep the stacks mouse-free long after everyone else has gone home.
