Madeleine Cummings

Madeleine Cummings is a Canadian writer who has lived in Toronto and Montreal. She is currently a Master of Science candidate at Columbia Journalism School and holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University. After being chased by a particularly fierce-looking Doberman at age 9, she officially became a cat person and has never looked back.

When she was in elementary school, her mother hand-sewed her an impressive cat costume for Halloween, complete with a coat-hanger-supported tail that could be bent into any shape. The costume was so good her younger sister gave it a second life the following year.
