Would a solo female British Shorthair be spiteful with its urine if we went away (and had a pet sitter daily)?

It really depends on the individual cat, not the breed. I went away for a week last Summer and left mine with a pet sitter who kept them well fed, clean litterbox and gave them attention every day and nobody had any behavioral issues because of it. I have never had one of them pee someplace wrong to send me a message. However, my father in law's cat which is actually from my same breeder and a sister to 4 of my cats decided to pee near his chair last week to protest her empty food bowl. Not sure how long it was empty but he ran out immediately to buy food when I asked him what he may have done to upset her so I suspect she was darn hungry at this point. If your cat tends to be spiteful or to get your attention in negative ways, then I would consider that to be a possibility. But if she doesn't normally behave that way and your sitter takes good care of her, I wouldn't expect that to happen.
