why does my maine coon cat "dig" when she eats?

before my cat eats, she makes a digging motion, she digs on the table where her her food is at, her food table is under the window, and she "digs" in the window also, is this part of a cats instinct to bury their food?

Yes, it is. In the wild, cats will bury their food to keep others from eating it. Have you ever seen photos of wild cats dragging their kills up a tree? Same thing. Some cat, after they use the litter box, will also scratch at the walls and floor. It's an ancient habit and is perfectly normal.
