why does my 4 month kitten breathe slightly loud when she purrs (happy purrs) but otherwise breathe completely normally?

her behaviour is completely fine and she eats and plays perfectly....vet says its nothing....its literally only when she purrs that i hear her breathing and its not the purring sound im confusing it with. otherwise her breathing is fine. i hope this makes sense. thanks in advance. please note shes had her injections, only 1 left to go and shes been chipped

Trust your vet that it's just the way she makes vibrations. If you are still worried, you can get a 2nd opinion from another vet, but yours is probably right on the money with this one. Cats breathe at a much faster rate than humans. Try to get her purr at the vet's office so that s/he can hear the specific sound. My kitten purrs like a steamroller; it's quite normal and a nice happening. ^_^
