Once your cat has given birth to and then weaned her kittens, she is safe to be spayed. It's safer and easier on the cat to wait six to ten weeks (and when the kittens no longer rely on her for milk) before you have her spayed.

First, keep her indoors before she's spayed! Kittens benefit for at least 2-3 months of Momcat's attention. Momcat will make it very clear when she is done with caring for her children. Sad but true. Good luck and purrs.
