The smell of fresh-baked bread has that effect on just about everybody! My husband can stand at the counter and eat a whole loaf with a tub of margarine next to him. 8o0 It's more than likely the smell of the yeast, even in store-bought bread that's having that reaction on them. It probably has the same effect as catnip would on other cats. It's difficult to know exactly WHY your cats do that, but a video of the effect it has on them might go viral on YouTube!!
