If he's an outdoor cat, try keeping him inside if this really grosses you out. He is a cat and this is what cats do. You cannot stop a cat from hunting. Yelling at and/or punishing him will not solve the problem and will make him an anti-social cat. Some cats are master hunters and some couldn't care less. About all you can do is watch where you step and bury the mice when he brings them. Look at his mouth when he comes in to make sure he's not bringing anything into your home. Hard to imagine, but this is an honor and a gift from him to you. He's telling you he sees you as "the boss" and this is his way of telling you he loves you.
