what does it mean when your kitten foams from the mouth and suddenly stops?

What does it mean when your 8 week old kitten is foaming from the mouth uncontrollably? And they stop after 5 minutes? Should I see the vet?

Yes, you should call the vet. Foaming at the mouth is by no means normal. Sounds like she got into something. Could be harmless but it could be poisonous and tiny kittens can go downhill fast.

YES, take the kitten to a vet IMMEDIATELY! It sounds as though it had a seizure. Did he/she get into any poisons or chemicals? Did you apply a flea medication recently? If the answer to either of these questions is "yes", you need to get medical attention for your kitten ASAP! Please do not delay. Best of luck to kitty.
