You never finished your question. But I'm guessing you want to know if their issues are related to them both being males. First off this is a mute point if they both are neutered. But otherwise cat personalitys are not based on male/female gender issues. They're several ways to introduce new roommates. Keeping the new dude in a small room with his own box dish etc... is a good idea. They can converse with each other under the door. You can visit new Kitty often. Encourage your friends and family to do the same. Have them bring treats and gentle pets. Pay special attention to your original cat. After about 2 Wks of this you can ease new Kitty into leaving his safe house and maybe sharing original cats box. But from my experience if you do this the way I explained it those two cats are not only friends they are making plans
