We just adopted a 6 month old kitten. We already have a 2 year old male cat. Any suggestions on intergrating them?

We just adopted another kitten. She is 6 months old and adorable and friendly. Milo our 2 year old cat is a bit more skiddish. They are in separate rooms right now but I would love to intergrate them. Can anyone please give me some advise on this. It would be greatly appreciate it!!

Thank you :)

Panda Bear

Let him smell her out for at least two days. Give him a treat when he does not hiss. Hissing is normal though; my cats still hiss at my 6-month-old because she drives them nuts by always wanting to play with them. Next, let him smell her first when you're holding her. He will probably get angry and run away, or he may hiss in her face. Supervised interactions are necessary until you are sure that there will be no fighting. Then, leave for only a couple of hours at a time or keep them separated until you are certain that they will be fine together all night first, and then day, without incident. ^_^ Congrats on adopting!!
