Weezy

Siamese/snowshoe mix and he is constantly changing colors- is this normal?

I have a Siamese/snowshoe mix and his face was gray/tan, then it turned dark brown/black, now its back to the original color. Do cats coats change color in the winter (any season)? Is this a Siamese color point thing? Thanks!!

ive never heard of this happening but i guess it could i think it depends on how old Weezy is if he is less than 6 months old then its probably normal

I think so. I am a snowshoe mix and daddy says my fur gets darker when the seasons change.

Kira

Your profile says Weezy is just 1 year old? Color point cats (Siamese, Himalayan, Ragdoll, etc) change a LOT over the first year and sometimes two. Most are born white and then develop their colors. And then they can get darker as they age. Kira is 3 now and she is super dark but if you look at her pics on her page you can see all the changes she went through to get here.

i cant say for everyone else but grace changes completely depending on the season sometimes shes a regular brown tabby with a gorgeous peach colour belly and then she changes completly and turns into an almost perfect silver tabby so when people ive described her to meet her i can get some very funny looks lol
