Should i leave a light on at night for my 10 week old kitten?

We have had him for 2 weeks and to begin with were leaving him in the lounge with food, water tray and light on. The last few days we have let him have the run of the house at night as we have moved his litter tray to the back door. However he is now keeping us up trying to play with us so we have decided to go back to shutting him in the lounge on a night but didn't know what was best for lighting! Also is it ok to move the litter tray from the kitchen to the lounge on a night and back again in the morning?

We have a nightlight too, and our cats have the run of the house at night. But, the light is more for DH so he doesn't take a flier over one of them in the AM. Cats have superior night vision. They are also nocturnal animals and that's why Baby is keeping you up at night. Make sure to tire him out by some creative and interesting playtime with you. Stop about an hour before bedtime so he has a chance to chill out. This is a good time to groom/brush him to setlle him down. It won't last forever. All 3 of my cats sleep most of the night now. About the litter box--I wouldn't keep moving it if I were you. If you need to, buy another box for him. Cats are usually pretty good about finding their litter, but he may get annoyed with having to find it and start leaving you "presents".

I found that when I got my cats they would be sleepign during the day and want to play during the night. So I started to let them outsude during the day; but with some supervision they first couple of times. So when it was time to go to bed they would be tired too. I normally leave a light on but they haver very good noght vision
