Shadow has been losing weight and today I noticed some blood in his stool. he is eight and a long hair can you help

Spice is right. Remember, we are not vets here and we cannot diagnose or prescribe treatment over the Internet for a cat we've never seen and don't know. Seeing blood coming out of anywhere it's not supposed to is not a good sign, even in small amounts. If you can't afford a vet, many of them will accept payment plans. I've never heard of a vet yet who will turn away a sick cat. If your kitty has never been vetted, call around to shelters and rescues and see if they can suggest a vet who treats at a lower cost. We'll say a prayer that everything will be OK for your kitty.

Losing weight is not a good sign. It is a sign that he is sick and blood in his stool is another sign that something is wrong. You didn't mention if he has been eating or drinking water. If not, that is another sign. Your kitty needs to go to the vet for an exam. You may want to get a fecal sample and take it the vet with you.
