I have not use this method myself, but have seen videos on it and read up on it. Maybe your male needed to stay in the begining stages of his training longer. Many cats do not like to poo where other cats go and or humans. not sure why... if this happens they poo near the litter tray or in this case the potty. I would suggest you put a litter tray back down for him and get him using that again then go back to the potty training. He may just make the adjustment on his own if he has the security of the litter tray good luck.

If he doesn't want to use the toilet (and many cats don't - it's not exactly natural for them), don't try to force him. Give him a litter box, if that's what he wants. Otherwise you will end up with an unsolvable behavior problem, which is where it's heading now.

I have never trained a cat to use the human toilet, and perhaps someone who has can give better advice. I know that cats feel vulnerable when pottying and your cat may be too nervous to poo there. I can tell you that sprays and things like "Feliway" plug ins are hit and miss. Your male kitty is still a kitten, and like human children and potty-training, it just takes some kids longer to learn. Don't give up. Keep trying. Use patience and loving, calm kindness. If you show anger or annoyed impatience with him, he will pick up on it and it will make the task all the more difficult.
