We are wondering why our new cat is scratching and bitting herself a lot. We had her nuetered and treated for fleas. She does not have fleas.

First off. Female cats are spayed. Male cats are nurtured. Ask. Another question and decribe flea treatment done on your cat.ask for "Max" I think he can help with more info

I recommend taking her to the vet. She may need to have another prescription flea treatment (do not use the over the counter stuff that pet stores sell), or she may have some kind of allergy. Skin problems like this are often food-related allergies, or it may be something environmental that is making her itchy.
