not a question, update on can my cat survive losing the tip of his tail without surgery.

Thank you so much for your caring advice. I was able to get my local humane society to kick in $100 of the bill, which was fairly reasonable. The vet was willing to work out the bill in two payments. As for kitties surviving this type of accident without surgery, the vet tells me that while sometimes the bone does fall off on its own with no infection, the process is extremely painful to the cat. I'm so glad that I didn't try to wait for this outcome. My kitty feels MUCH better now. Thanks again catpeople.
