My newly adopted cat keeps throwing up.. is that normal from stress?

He is a male 12 yrs old over weight. He loves to eat and will eat a little then a minute later will throw up.

There so many reasons no body answers these questions. Short answer: wet dry food until moist before feeding. Cats can't chew so they swallow food whole it expands in their tummys and whopsie! Its your first date all over again. And just like that first date they wanna do it all over again. Aaaarrrrgggg
