If she was a stray, this behavior is easy to explain. She didn't know when her next meal was, so how can you blame her for gorging now? There are a few things that you can do. You can buy a portion pacer which makes eating a slower process and prevents gluttony. Then, you can switch that cat to weight management food, like MaxCat Indoor Weight Control, if you see her putting on the pounds. You can supplement her diet with a few Greenie treats a day to clean her teeth, because she's probably never had dental care before. If she's eating everyone's food, you will need to feed them all at the same time and measure portions. Starting off with good habits now is key to preventing obesity later. Congrats on the new addition! ^_^
