If she hasn't been to the vet in a while, she needs to go to make sure there are no medical reasons why she would avoid the box to poop. Make sure the box is big enough and kept VERY clean for her and that it's in a private, quiet location. I've heard that some cats like one box for #1 and one for #2, so you might try getting another box for her. Explain to the vet what's going on and let them advise you.
